August 30, 2021. It's been five months since my last and only visit to Manette Coffee Company. I happen to be in that general area waiting for P.A.W.S to open; I had a few minutes and wanted some coffee. Manette Coffee Company is down the road, so it worked out well, and I knew what I wanted. The barista was polite, friendly, and fast; I ordered a 16oz Iced non-fat latte with no flavors or sweeteners. Before I knew it, I was paying and on my way! My first sip of the iced non-fat latte led to me non-stop drink it down, no waiting or taking my time; before I knew it, that drink was history! Yes, it was that good! I wish I could explain in detail how the drink tasted. Oddly enough, knowing the latte had no sugar (I watched the barista make it), it had a hint of sweetness. I have no idea why, if it was the brand of non-fat milk or just the beans they use; also, the drink as a whole was a perfect balance of non-fat milk, coffee, and ice; it wasn't overwhelming with one or the other. It was so delicious! --------------------------------------- My travels rarely take me to the Manette area in Bremerton; I recall, last time driving through the area, three months or so ago, I remembered seeing a coffee stand in the area. I thought to myself that coffee stand probably gets a lot of business due to their location. Manette Coffee's location is predominantly residential, with a few scattered little companies across the street such as Manette Mall, which is more similar to a strip mall, and a 76 gas station, Still, I feel the next coffee stand to that area would have to be on Wheaton Way, which happens to be a little bit of a jaunt, significantly so, if you don't drive. Esthetically? Well, there wasn't any bells or whistle going off, it was a clean, decent looking coffee stand. I stuck to my guns and ordered an 8 oz Americano at $1.75; it was pretty much in the range of some of the other Americanos I've had at different stands. Brittney was the girl who made my drink; What a charming personality she has, and the customer on the other side couldn't say enough good things about her or the stand. She made my Americano, rang me out, and I was on my way. The Americano's taste was good overall; I did find it a little more of the mild side of the spectrum, but not so mild there wasn't any taste, unlike my last Americano, which happened to be very weak. However, I would compare it with a good cup of regular coffee with little after taste, soothing aroma, and mild acidity; overall, I would buy this versus regular coffee. *Why buy local? When you buy local, you are creating jobs for local people; you support and invest in your community; money earned locally is typically reinvested back into our community for further growth. Thank you for supporting our local businesses!!"

I love local businesses and like to support them, but not this one. I have never ordered here. I don't know what their coffee is like, but as a dasher for extra fundalation, I'm delivering to many in the area. I am writing this review after my 3rd visit to pick up. Each time the staff has been rude and dismissive. Granted I arrive as a lowly delivery person, but I represent their customer, who is paying good money for their product. Another significant problem I have is they do not have safety protocols for their products for delivery—no covered straws, no bags...handing me a napkin for a delivery which is not my order. When I asked about it they stated they do not have any as she handed me the drink with smoothie dripping down the side. Ok, but what was the proverbial straw prompting me to write this was her response, she states, "they've never had a problem before!!!" Yelling at me, really? No little girl, not cool. Bad customer service and overall bad human interaction. So below is the delivered product, in a bag (provided by me) and with a covering for the opened straw (also provided by me). Because, young lady, that is how you treat a customer, with respect and fortitude to do your best. Customers keep you in business, not the other way around. I am local, like I said love to support local businesses, but cannot in all honesty give my money to this one.

Great little spot! Both the mango smoothie and the vanilla latte frap were both sweet and delicious, perfect little treat! Update after several visits: The mango smoothie sometimes comes out like in my picture (bright orange) and that's when it's perfect. Sometimes it comes out a little more light orange and it tastes good but yogurt-ish? So there may be some variance on drinks with different servers. Also not pictured here is the Caramel Cold brew which is strong but sweet and I love that one too. Either way, highly recommend.
