First let me say, I had delivery so the atmosphere grade I'll stay in the middle with.
After hearing about this place and reading all the reviews, I thought I had found my new pizza place. I checked the menu and it is solid 80s. Everything about it screams my childhood, bringing my back to times of old. I was in awe. I loved 80s themed merchandise and even forced myself.not to buy a few shirts.
We placed our order for delivery and was anticipating the pizza....the pretzel...the bread stix, all which were raved about in the many 5 star reviews.
The time comes, the pizza arrived. Me and my family and joined in a huge cheer because we were about to feast.
The smell was very enticing...and that's where this all goes south. First the order wasn't correct. They forgot our bread Stix! The funnel cake fried tasted old and greasy like they weren't drained properly. The pizza itself tasted as it had been made hours before and just reheated. It had a mouth feel that was just terrible. Both my wife and I couldn't eat a whole slice it was just gross.
The pretzel was pretty solid. It came with 3 different sauces: mustard, a (cold?) Nacho cheese and a really...REALLY garlicy butter.
I called to let them know the misshap of forgetting the bread Stix and even though the employee Nicholas made the amazing gesture of giving me $10 off out next order, I don't think we will order...
Read moreThe pizza was just ok. Had company over, so I picked up two large pizzas. Out of the five of us, we all agreed there was way too much garlic and lacking in salt. I'm not sure how to describe it other than saying it was bland and garlicky. As far as pricing goes, unless you're getting one of their specials, be prepared to pay above normal prices compared to other similar pizza places. I picked my pizza up instead of delivery. There's a party store next door, and Slice of The 80's is at the end. There is only one way in and one way out. The parking lot is VERY tight! It appeared all the employees were parking up front too, because there were no other customers there and the front of their store only had three parking spots open which made the parking lot even tighter. I have a quad cab pickup, and I had to back up and forth 10 times just to get out of my spot to leave.
Update: my first review is from about 8 months ago. Never went back. I've heard a lot of good things since my last review and they have a pretty good special going on, so we tried them again. The pizza was fantastic this round! Maybe before I caught them on an off day?? Really good prices and really good pizza. We will most...
Read moreI am adjusting my review after trying the food again. I think my first review was off a bit because they had just opened and perhaps did not have things down to a science yet. So, after ordering again, pizza and cheese sticks, I loved both. The cheese sticks are lightly battered with house made ranch and the pizza was delicious. I got sausage and bacon, but it felt like I got double cheese too. The toppings and cheese were plentiful and went ALL the way up the the seasoned crust. I will order there again. END OF UPDATED REVIEW. I have only gotten food here once, so this review only covers a few things. Although their pizza had plenty of the toppings we ordered, I didn't like their sauce at all. It just tastes like crushed up tomatoes with very little pizza seasonings to me. The pretzel we ordered was huge and delicious, and the breadsticks and dip were good too. I'll probably try their food again, just not their pizza. They offer a nice variety of food items to choose from besides pizza. Prices are a bit on the higher...
