Wanted to try a local Mexican restaurant, though the atmosphere gave it a great vibe, the food was not it. It was mediocre at best. I wanted to like it but I just couldn't. We never got our water, the horchata seemed to be freshly made and blended but tasted exactly like the instant horchata mix from the grocery store which was disappointing. The cabbage lime slaw was interesting, didn't even know it came with the food, however the lime taste was too strong for my liking. If I knew my dish came with that I would have declined it. Read moreI want to love this place more, and I’ve been there a couple years ago and it was way better, but I stopped for lunch and got the 4 meat platter and it was very bad. We waited almost 45 minutes to have some shoe leather and tiny shrimp. The rice and beans were pretty good, and the cabbage slaw was fresh and good but paying $20 for some overcooked, thin sliced meat and dry chicken is too much. Everyone has their off days, but this was one of the worst meals I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant.
