So so thankful to Buen Apetito. I’d previously worked with Buen Apetito some years ago in a professional capacity when they catered for a corporate event, so selecting them for our wedding was an easy decision.
My now-husband was immediately bought into them - he loved their generous portions, and fun, interactive catering experience. Our tasting before the wedding was a huge success, and we were kindly given extra portions to take home, which we shared with our family who were excited for the real deal on the wedding day.
Buen Apetito thought of everything. We had an at-home DIY wedding on our smallholding, but Buen Appetito made it easy and were entirely self-sufficient. Our wedding coordinator also loved them! They provided beautiful terracotta dishes which looked incredible on the tables, and catering service was slick, efficient, generous and most importantly - tasty! We created menus for each place setting, and I have very fond memories of my dad perusing the menu, deciding what to have for his second portion. Some of our guests even went up for thirds!
We opted for the buffet service option, and I’m so glad we did. Our guests could watch the paellas and dishes being cooked, they could pick-and-mix from the variety of dishes, and it provided incredible photos (our photographer was so excited to get some photos of the dishes and heat!). It really added another layer to our wedding as an experience for our guests, and our wedding was description by several as the “classiest wedding they’d ever attended” - so don’t think that the buffet service is the lesser option. We’d chose it again, given the chance!
Thank you Andy, Johnny, Debbie and the team. We...
Read moreNot kid friendly! Absolutely appalled at this establishment. We came in early (2 families) anticipating a wait, before our kids arrived we put our names on the "list" then sat down for a drink while we waited. Trying to avoid children anxiously waiting in the lobby. As the remaining family members arrived, we revisited the front podium and asked again about our table. At this point it had been an hour waiting. We were then told it would be ANOTHER 30 minutes, and shockingly we couldn't stay inside, that we needed to leave the high top and go sit in the entry hall with our kids. Two of our younger kids were very upset and uncomfortable as this all unfolded. This just kept getting worse, as the drink we had just ordered was then removed from our table and we were told by the bar keep to leave. Having worked in the industry this entire event is shocking to say the least.
Leading up to this we have tried to order take out 4 times recently, and are always told they can't do it. (We ordered take out regularly throughout COVID, until one time we got rancid food, so we took a break for awhile and just this past summer started trying the food again from their new location). They told us come in to the bar, have a drink while we order. Which proved to be a complete disaster tonight. We took the two families elsewhere and saved the evening. But the kids were rattled and this entire event was ridiculous. They should have just saved us the hassle and said they couldn't accommodate families. To many strikes. We're...
Read moreI can't speak about the food all I can speak about is the rudeness. They are very unaccommodating. I never got to eat here, We were kicked out with 3 young children and waited over an hour for a table and when the rest of the party got there and I got a buzzer we were told we had to wait at least another 1/2 hr.
My friend wanted a drink, and we weren't going to take her kids to the bar. So our whole party was not there and we couldn't get a table for six. Her husband dropped the kids off a little later. And at that time I got a buzzer. She had just recieved her second drink when her kids arrived. The kids can't sit at the bar... So she saw a table in the bar area that had been unoccupied for a very long time. She sat the kids at the table while she was finishing her drink. The hostess came over and told her she needed to take the kids and go out into the hallway to wait, and that she couldn't sit at that table... And instead of being accommodating, the hostess called the bartender over to kick us out. "we were uninvited." And to top that off, she took my friends drink behind her back. My friend had to go over to her and ask her about the drink. She told her she was giving her a refund. But the bar tender still kept the tip... I guess I'll never get to eat there in their...
