Very large great selection and nice variety of foods on the menu. It was hard to decide what i wanted there were so many good items. I chose the asian ginger chicken with mixed vegetables was very good the chicken was free range very good quality taste to it vegetables were steamed carrot, cauliflower, squash, zucchini, broccoli. Chicken was 2 pieces about the size of your palm. I got the salad bar also nice selection of veggies to top your salad with. Also got the soup it was chicken vegetable very good i would recommend getting the salad and soup bar. Also a nice selection of fruits on the bar. I also got the crab stuffed mushrooms which were very good far better than red lobster i would definitely recommend those as an appetizer if you like mushrooms and crab large portion and great flavor. To drink i had coffee which was very flavorful and good not all places have good coffee so i enjoyed that as well. To top it off i had a slice of the peanut butter creme pie no joke it was the best cream pie i have ever had in my life by far they also have a nice variety of desserts to choose it was hard to decide they also have fresh ice cream made locally which i didn't try but im sure it would be very good. They also had quite the selection of homemade breads such as raisin and homemade cookies all of which were very tempting to buy just to try i touched the bread on the wrapper and it felt very soft and made me feel like it would be delicious lol. They also have a nice selection of items to hang up in your house with inspirational quotes and such i wanted to buy so much lol but i just picked up a sighn that says live laugh love for my wife. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone very nice clean freindly place to sit and eat. I am a trucker so it was very nice change of pace compared to the truck stops. I wish there were more places like this around. You will not be disappointed i guarantee that. Also looking at everyone else's food as it came out it all looked delicious and...

Layout and ambience is that of a small hometown diner but one gets the sense from the menu selections and the higher than average pricing that the owner is trying to "put on airs" and come across more as fine dining. Servers are friendly and attentive.

The steak I ordered was 50% fat/gristle but the parts that were edible were prepared as ordered and cut/tasted decent enough. In my mind it is pointless to send that kind of product back because no self-respecting restaurateur would accept such clearly inferior product from their purveyor let alone prepare/present it to their customers then charge top dollar for it.

Aside from the poor cut of steak I recieved, the rest of my food and the food everyone else in our party ordered was palatable and what one would typically expect to get at a mom and pop roadside diner.

Unfortunately, no one in our party ordered desert so I can comment on the tasty-looking baked goods in...

Family restaurant, since 1949,serving home cooked food. Cute and clean with several rooms with tables. There is a counter with stools, booths and tables. Small gift shop upon entering on one side. We were greeted right away by friendly staff and could choose where we wanted to sit. We had one of the specials from the menu...stuffed chicken breast with homemade filling and mashed potatoes. Very tasty but chicken was a little on the dry side. We were offered a complimentary jello salad which was a slice of jello with some kind of grated fruit...There is a salad bar which you have the option to substitute for an upcharge instead of a side. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered their chocolate cake with peanut butter icing which they were out of,so we were offered cupcakes instead. Wrong dessert ....very dry. All in all....not a bad little place...

Outstanding restaurant! I stumbled upon it as I was passing by on my way home from a business trip. Waitress was awesome. So hard to decide what to have to eat because of diverse menu. I decided on the beef brisket sandwich and was not disappointed! It was tender, smoky-flavored & very delicious. The home made fries were outstanding. I also ordered a small side salad that was perfect. I didn't make time to take picture of the full menu, but got pics of their dessert menu. I had slice of pie before I left but took home some homemade tapioca for later. Both were very good. I would highly recommend this place for locals or travelers. I will mention they had a sign inside that it was family owned for 70 years and that probably means a lot. It was obvious they take pride in running this excellent eatery.

Attended the Perry County Chamber of Commerce Business Women's Luncheon on 3/8/24. First time ever here. Parking on both sides of building. Event was held in a small banquet room with doors for privacy. A covered wooden deck was off the banquet room. Some updates (like the barn doors), but still a little dated. Food was fresh. Sandwich, soup, & chicken salad options plus chocolate cake, peanut butter pie, & coconut creme pie for dessert. Ice tea was homemade & hot tea gave you flavored tea bag options. Small gift shop area, a traditional lunch counter, and both booth & table options. There was also another dining room off of the other side of the establishment. The menu had the history of the restaurant, and pictures of the original owners are in the foyer.
