Bob & Anne's Restaurant — Restaurant in Waukegan

Well we used to like this place but will not come back due to the poor customer service. I took my family out to eat so we can eat together. My food was made incorrectly. I ordered the dark meat broasted chicken. They sent me all white meat. Simple mistake but I do not like or eat white meat. I assumed they would rectify the situation but to remake my food I was told was going to take 30 minutes. I have 2 small children with me so there is no way they were going to wait later. The point of a family meal was to eat with my family. So I said well can you refund this meal ( which is only $8 ) and I guess I’ll have to pick at it and try to eat what I don’t like. Then they tell me well if you eat it you have to pay for it. I said I don’t want to eat it or pay for it and I can’t wait 30 minutes for another meal. So to refund from their mistake, they said they have to take the food back. So they took it...and threw it away...and I then was refunded and I sat as my family ate and I did not. Even the manager wouldn’t rectify the situation. Definitely won’t be back. Ruined our...

We arrive with the plan to get some food and some desert pie. ( we overheard her asking everyone else if they wanted desert except us)

We ordered the 2x2 special for me and the soup for my son with English muffins- we never received the soup. I had to share my meal with my son since the server never checked on us, not once. She only placed a plate of 2 English muffins in-front of my son. We did not see the server until the end when she walked by quickly saying “ getting the check” basically kicking us without saying it. As she was ringing up the food she noticed she never brought us the soup and asked us about it. Which I replied “ I had to split my food with my son since his food was never brought” she offered to bring the soup but for what we were already on the way out- was my son supposed to eat soup by himself? We asked for it to take home and she cut it from the check but our meal was already ruined. Upon checking out the check out guy was on the phone for about 4 minutes before he even acknowledged us. Will not be coming back. We got pie from somewhere els....

Let me tell you about what happened, I have gone to this establishment for as long as I can remember. I went to have some lunch today with my dad just to go down memory lane, boy were we in for a treat. Our food was cold and while trying to enjoy each others company a child at the next table chucked a piece of fruit they were eating and landed right dab in the middle of our table. I decided to share my insight so my waitress Gia was very kind and understanding. The host Jessica however seemed very unprofessional and dismissive. I explained the food was cold and was met with belligerent accusations I shared I had no issue with the payment I was informing them of the food. Martha the owner insisted I leave without paying. Of course I would NEVER do such a thing. So after paying, I simply shared how it was uncalled for and rude not the service I was expecting from this establishment. Maybe they had a bad day either way maybe go down the street...
