Another hidden gem! This place is great. The food is absolutely scrumptious. It is another one of those off the beaten path restaurants. It gives you that home town feeling for sure … On this particular evening, they had the very first batch of the year of boiled crawfish with potatoes and corn . Unfortunately, they were sold out when I got there so next time we’ll have to give them a try.. So instead got barbecue shrimp and let me tell you they were off the chain ! Also had their seafood gumbo which was homemade and from scratch, perfect melding of flavors. Also got a shrimp Poboy. The batter on the shrimp was light. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and yes, the bread was New Orleans style. Dinner was paired with a beer ice cold. What a great pairing. The wait staff will greet you with a smile and they are prompt and friendly and meet your needs. I will say if you are in Bay St. Louis or Waveland you must and I repeat must try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed by no means they do daily lunch specials also. Price is very reasonable also. The only downside is, they are not open seven days a week!!!!! You must catch them when they are open. Their hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday 11 AM till 9pm but sometimes they may close early.. so check them out. Enjoy the food and better bring your appetite. You’re in for...
Read moreFried oysters - excellent! BBQ SHRIMP EXCELLENT head on - right now...meaning right out of the gulf. And the sauce/gravy is fantastic. 8 or so slices of Liedenhiemer (pretty sure) for sopping. Plenty of shrimp! Country fried steak, which I would never order nor really indulge for many reasons, but someone ordered one night and made me try it.... you can cut with a fork, and it's fried to perfection, not even a little bit greasy, terrific flavor - EXCELLENT. Side salad- EXCELLENT spring mix cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and croutons. All good. Staff is always friendly and thorough. Beignet Fries ... Just great. Lemon blueberry cake - light, fluffy, cake that's not overly sweet. Icing is also not thick and heavy. Not fancy..just delicious food and ICE COLD BEER - you can byob. People who know start rolling in right before 5. If you wait until 6, it will be close to full, but really never a wait. Tables turn over. I would eat there every night if I had the time. Extensive menu. Fresh baked potatoes, not like 200 N. Beach, which are...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for something to do in waveland and decided to go to the hurricane Katrina museum. We wanted to find somewhere to eat close by and find this restaurant. My wife has a restricted food selection so she called ahead to see if they could accommodate her requirement. They said no problem so we took a chance. The sports bar is in a neighborhood and from the outside is not the fanciest looking place but we're glad we went. They did provide a good meal for my wife and I got a real tasty gumbo plate. The food took a little while due to grilling of the meat but that was not a problem for us. This is a neighborhood place not fine dining but the food we had was very good. Waitress was friendly and checked on us often. I wigs recommend this place to others and we will go back again. The plates by the way range from 8.95 up to over 20.00. They serve po boys, seafood plates, hamburgers, kids plates... there is a bar there but we don't drink alcohol so I could not describe it. I'm glad we...
