I placed a to-go order for Texas Fajitas with no beans and extra rice and gave them a hour for my pickup time. Picked up food at the appointed time. When I got to my hotel, I discovered no rice (I was charged for extra) and no fajita fixings (lettuce, cheese, sour cream, guacamole - all things stated on the menu. (Received a bag of chips, fajitas meats, Tortillas.) Okay, people make mistakes. So I call the restaurant and the woman that took my order proceeds to call me a liar over lettuce and rice! I replied "okay, so you're calling me a liar, thanks, I'll leave an appropriate review." She then hangs up on me. I'll also be contacting my credit card company for a refund since she chose not to handle it properly! UPDATE: I'm not positive, but I may have gotten food poisoning from the fajitas as well. Didn't go to the hospital, but spent 36 hours on the toilet with gastrointestinal issues and stomach pain. ABSOLUTELY wouldn't go back here or recommend to anyone else...

I gave it several tries but this is just horrible. I tried to be fair the first time and figured they had an off day. NOPE. Second attempt I got this chicken quesadilla to go, if you can call it that. Placed my order at 11:10, assured a 15 mins wait time and didn't get it until 11:50 and that's what I got served to me. Just tried a third time and somehow the rice was both dried out and crunchy. I had to mix it with runny beans and my hard shell taco came out soggy from the grease in the meat and wet lettuce. Save your money, Taco Bell and Taco John's are more authentic than this place.

I’ve been going to El Sol for 3 years. It became my favorite Mexican restaurant the first time I ever tried it. I’ve never had an issue before. The food has always been amazing and the service is great. Tonight I got a to go order and when I opened it up I was disappointed… the small Queso was in a little tiny cup and it was pretty much cheese water. I opened my rice and there isn’t even the same amount they put on your plate if you were to dine in. I’m actually sad about this experience.

Really tasty food, OWNED BY CON ARTISTS!

I've ordered takeout from this place twice now, and twice the bill was way more than it should have been. I looked at the menu while waiting for my order, I did the math, and my order both times after taxes should have only been somewhere around $27, and yet each time, they charged me over $32.

When I asked for a receipt (so I could see what the charges were), the man said sure and printed the same receipt that I signed for the credit card. For those who do not know, these receipts do not list the items or prices for each.

I don't know if this is something they just do for people who order takeout or if it something that happens to people who dine in as well.

LASTLY, I ordered ahead so I could get the food on my lunch break. When I got to the restaurant about 25 minutes later, I ended up standing there waiting for nearly 25 additional minutes. By then, my lunch break was nearly over, and I had to eat it on my drive back! What was the hold up; I have no idea. I do know that while I waited, I observed several staff (including the manager) standing around, in various locations, on their phones while guests in the dining room looked around for their servers. I could overhear a few of them getting...

When I came to the restaurant the sign said it was open but the door was locked. So I called and the restaurant and the man I talked to said he would unlock the door. It took him a few minutes to actually unlock the door and when he finally did he had me come in and stand in the entryway while he talked on his cell phone for the next five minutes. He finally pointed for me to sit anywhere. I ordered lunch which was the Guanajuato quesadilla. It came with refried beans and guacamole. The guacamole was brown, and the refried beans were orange-colored and very soupy. The quesadilla was all right, but had very little chicken in it and a little bit of cheese. The service was terrible and I had to actually go to the cash register to pay because he and another man we’re on their cell phones sitting doing nothing. It was a waste of time and money. Needless to say, I will...
