Fantastic bakery this side of the pond. The pain au chocolat is heavier on the chocolate than the ones you find in France, but they’re quite perfect. The baguettes are heavenly (I bought one and ate it by itself over the course of two days). In addition to amazing pastries, they also sell French butter and heirloom flour. They also have espresso and offer other beverages. The line was long and didn’t move very fast. Hopefully they can find a way to be more efficient at getting folks checked out in the future, if we hadn’t made the trip to Waverly specifically to give them a try, I would have given up around the 15 minute mark.I also would love real cups for dine in espresso drinks, but not the end of the world.

I cannot imagine anyone giving this gem of a place less than five stars. What a cute place, with the most delicious baked goods. My favorite was the cheese danish. If you are anywhere near Waverly, AL you should check out this place. Everything I ordered was delicious and my latte was really good. I am very fussy about the quality of food, so I was delighted to start my day at such a fabulous place. Even better: I will be traveling back through this area again this week so will stop in for another pastry and latte; then I will load up on their delicious baked goods to take home. Oh how I wish this place was within an hour’s drive of where I live; sadly, it is a 7+ hour drive.

I love Wild Flour Bakery! This is an amazing treasure that makes any day a little more lovely! I have never had anything that is not delicious and I continue to be surprised at the creativity of flavors and quality of all the standard choices. Coffee drinks are also 5 star. This place is always worth the stop! Personal favorites are the specialty desserts, the conecuh croissant, and a loaf of sourdough bread to go!

My wife is from Waverly, and as soon as it opened, this place quickly became my go-to for my morning coffee fix whenever we visit. The people are pleasant, coffee is great and all of the baked goods are fantastic.

And then today.

Today I had an eclair. OMG. I am somewhat of a filled pastry connoisseur. I love a good filled donut or anything of the sort, but usually I find myself digging through bread to find the little glob of filling within. NOT THIS TIME. Within the first bite was an explosion of the smoothest, silkiest, most delicious cream I have ever tasted. It's honestly difficult to adequately describe without sounding too lascivious.

If you are in the area, or even if you're not, do yourself a favor and stop by. My only regret is that they are not open tomorrow for me to grab an eclair...

My wife and I have wanted to visit this new bakery, and I’m so glad that we did. First, the atmosphere is wonderful. I had never been to Standard Deluxe before, but the location is truly special and unlike anyplace else I have been. The bakery itself sits cozily amidst SD and has a charming interior and outdoor seating space. The baked good options were plentiful and delicious. We tried several, but my favorite was probably the simplest: the plain croissant. I appreciate a good croissant, and this one was perfect. Perhaps most importantly though, the people who worked here were so kind, friendly, and patient – even when our young child had a small breakdown in the middle of our order.

I truly could not give this place a higher recommendation. We hope to stop...
