I really wanted to like this donut shop, but I will have to remove it from my morning routine. Donuts are great I never had an issue with their donuts. Cleanliness is one thing. one day I was at this donut shop in their was a roach crawling around by the register. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and said this was a one time thing. I haven't seen any roaches on any other stops. One thing I will not tolerate is being served old food. Not sure if you call them kolaches or pigs in a blanket. I ordered a half a dozen for work one day and I told the lady that I didn't want them heated up in their microwave. I figured that by the time I made it to work, it would need to be reheated. When I got to work and I grabbed one to put in the microwave to be warmed up. To my surprise, it was cold like it came out of a refrigerator. The entire box was thrown away. I waited about a month before my next visit. I saw they had some on a rack and I asked them if I could get 2 off of the rack assuming that they were freshly made. I was then told the ones behind the glass was also fresh. This was a younger group of employees working this morning. So I told them I wanted 2. I also instructed them not to heat them up to test my theory of them serving old food. Once again it was cold. I didn't make it out the store before I threw them straight in the trash. I am not going to make a big deal about it in the donut shop or complain to them about something that they are purposely doing to their customers. To the employees that are at the donut shop this morning you could look in the trash and you will find your kolaches if you think my statement is inaccurate. I would recommend only...
Read moreMy mom was dying of cancer and only had days left to live. I wanted to buy her donuts one last time as a treat while she could still chew food. While waiting at 77 Donuts for my order, one of the gentleman who works there asked if I was buying for my coworkers. I told him the story that mom was close to passing away from cancer and so he took the time to try and comfort me. He was so kind and sincere and I sure appreciated him. If you’ve never lost a loved one to something like cancer and watched them succumb to it and pass, you may not fully comprehend it.
Before I left, he handed me a specially packaged blueberry donut and said to give it to my mom. She was only able to eat a small amount of it due to strokes, but I was so thankful for her to be able to enjoy a donut one last time. After that morning she was no longer able to eat solid food anymore. Mom passed away two days later. I never was able to go back to 77 Donuts for obvious reasons. Knew I wouldn’t be able to hold back the tears. Wanted to thank the man there again for his simple act of kindness. Hope he reads this. Thank you, Sir. God Bless you for...
Read moreI’ve tried to give this place multiple chances not only because it’s the only one around but because my son actually likes their donuts, but the owner has a horrible attitude! She rushes people and she cuts you off every time you’re ordering! She’s very rude and it makes the customers feel like She only wants your money and does not care about anything else! She was extremely rude to me today in front of other people while I was ordering and that is what pushed me to finally write this review! I wish the owner worked on her attitude and wasn’t so angry all the time! I will definitely not be coming back to this...
