This is sad. Before I go on, I want people to know that I called the location to let them know about this, but I was talked over by the “manager”… I had to ask her politely, “Can I please finish (my complaint)”…. The issue, I ordered ahead on mobile… 3 medium sundays, 1 large blizzard, 1 medium. This is 8:26pm. Says be there by 8:38pm. I get there around 8:30. I know I will wait. I don’t care about waiting, when it is busy. 1 table top, 1 drive thru, 2 other customers with issues. Not busy at all. They eventually contact, okay. No hurry. Chat with the gentleman that got an incorrect order, while he waited. It’s after pickup time, so I flag one down to see how long, just so I know. She said, they will start my order as soon as they can. Okay, sure. Meanwhile, two employees go outside looking for a customer who had an issue with her dipped cones. Turns out, she spent over 30 minutes there trying to get everything worked out. I am irritated because now, to me, there are two employees outside looking for a customer in their small, empty parking lot. Eventually 3 sundae cones come out. They sit for about 6 minutes on the counter (it would take 5+ minutes for the rest to come out), while they make the next item. A blizzard. Then, I hear talk of, “We ran out of ice cream”…. Then the two come back, and my next blizzard shows up. They did the flip, but you can see the “ice cream” is not set right (I explained the soupiness to the manager). By this time, it is 8:50, so I gotta get these home. Line level employees are not paid enough to deal with me. I go and drop off the treats to the family and head to my home. I call a manager, verify they are a manager and commence to explain the issue. I heard “sorry”, I heard, “I saw it was taking too long, I should have seen why it was taking so long.”, and I heard, “Well, we have two newer people on the line. They were trying to get your order out as fast as they could.” Ignoring the fact of the quality of the product… and that I paid them $30+ for melted ice cream. Well, enjoy that $30, because I am hapoy to go to Milky-way. I advise anyone else to go...
Read morePossibly the worst DQ in Sioux Falls and surrouding area. This DQ won't answer their phone and they have NOT ONCE gotten an order right. Tonight, my daughter was charged for a medium blizzard, a mint hot cocoa and all she received was only chocolate icecream that was not even filled to the top. Three of the four blizzards were wrong and most were about 3/4" to 1" from top of the cup. The other two blizzards were not only shorted but also had next to NO COOKIE DOUGH in the cup and no malt as requested.
Every DQ around SF has always had it at the top and at times slightly over the top, which gives you the feeling of getting a quality product and your money's worth.
Last week, I ordered myself a mint hot cocoa and not only was this one not near the top (far from it) but it was pure candy and chocolate at the top with no mint flavor and the bottom half was vanilla icecream. I should have taken it back but it was late.
Another time, about two months ago, we had ordered the $7 meals for everyone and not only were the fries cold, but the burgers were old and tasted like the came off the floor, which honestly would be an improvement.
No one is friendly at this location and everything is somehow rushed feeling for such a slow service.
One would ask; why do you keep going there? Because it is a local establishment and we like to support local neighborhood business and several of the times was my mother treating everyone as a surprise. We WILL NOT be going this DQ and will make sure others avoid wasting thier money at this location.
We will be calling corporate and asking for a refund this week on the last visit. Clearly, from looking at the past reviews, the owner nor manager appear to care about the quality of product or service provided.
IF you want a quality DQ experiance, I would drive 12-miles NW of this location to Hartford SD. That location has a different owner and they're always fast, friendly and the food is...
Read moreI was pretty happy to have a Dairy Queen open up so close to home, we don't have much for options in this part of town. I stopped in for the first and last time. I went through the drive through, ordered two burger meals and a large fry. After at least 25 minutes of waiting I received the food from a fellow who asked me what I ordered. I rarely check the bag at the drive through but I decided I better not leave without checking as every staff member I encountered seemed inept. I found that they forgot the large fries and that the medium fry containers were about half full. I went inside to get my large fry and found a young lady working the counter trying to help a customer, she obviously had no idea what she was doing. When she finally figured out a way to satisfy that customer enough to get him to leave, she went to deliver blizzards to a couple in the lobby. The female customer said "we ordered larges" and the male customer said "we also didn't order chocolate ice-cream so these must be for someone else". By the time she got to me, it had been at least another 20 minutes. She delivered a large fry no questions asked. When I got home I found that neither of the burgers were what I ordered and, of course, the fries were cold. First bite of my burger was so spicy I just had to toss it. I thought that maybe we would wait a few months for them to get things in order and try again but after reading reviews, as far as I'm concerned, they should just close it down. They gave it a try but failed. It happens sometimes. Did I mention that while I was behind the building heading up to the door I saw Domino's Pizza delivering to the back door of the DQ? I guess the staff is sick of getting the wrong burger with...
