Midway Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Waynesville

Consistency, professionalism and courtesy have run short at MIDWAY for my business. My order has never been consistent and most of the time didn’t taste at all what I ordered. Each person will make your drink a different way. I brought this up to the staff and received many dirty looks and attitude until the owner wrote the order out. After all that I still can’t get them to listen to my order at the cash register, nor make them as you order them. Today on Veterans Day they messed up my sons and I’s drink and completely forgot my veterans wife coffee. 20 minutes later I ask for a refund and they all walked away cause know one knew how to refund. I had to walk without a refund cause they made me to late for another appt.

I’ve tried to give these guys my business but I truly feel they don’t want mine nor care about my experience.

Where do I start. Today was a typical day. I went to go get breakfast for my kids and myself and on the way I stopped by Midway and ordered a CBIC 24oz with four pumps of white chocolate mocha. I never had that combination, however I thought I would give it a try. Everything goes well I receive the drink but as I pull out of the drive thru line I taste the drink and realize it is super sweet for what I’m used to. I ended up going back in line and explaining to them it was too sweet for me and I asked if they could either replace it with just a plain CBIC or I can even give them my free drink card, I didn’t want to inconvenience them. But Mike was really persistent on remaking me a drink. He even went above and beyond to get me an iced americano just to see if I preferred that instead of the original CBIC. I came in for a hot mocha latte with almond milk. Yummy!! Also has some sweet treats - muffins, cookies. Casual atmosphere. Comfortable upholstered armchairs, fun autumn holiday decor and music. Service is amazing and the interactions are so pleasant. A lot of humor today with a younger generation of workers enjoying their work and banter. Like being in a home environment.
