Pizza King | Waynetown, IN — Restaurant in Waynetown

We were rather disappointed with the “new” pizza king. They have new owners and they really fixed up the place. We ordered salads and pizza and they completely changed their salad. It’s not even the same as what is was and the lettuce was brown. We were all pretty upset about the salad change. The fresh lettuce, cubed mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, ham and homemade croutons were the best. Now it’s prepackaged salad mix and cheddar cheese, tomatoes and boxed croutons that were not very good :(. We ordered pizza as well and it was cold. It was like it sat out overnight and the cheese was not hot and very rubbery. We waited a few months to try again and this time we just ordered pizza since they changed their salads and we ordered a pepperoni pizza and a deluxe pizza. Our pepperoni pizza was yet again super cold like it sat out over night and our deluxe pizza was really hot and super fresh. I’m not sure what is going on but we have been throughly upset. I tried putting the cold rubbery pizza in the oven when I got home and it just made it hard. We also only live 2 minutes away and we were there when they said the pizza would be ready. I’ve never received a cold pizza that looked like it sat out over night. Sadly, we won’t be back. I can order a pizza at Arnis and it still be hot and fresh by the time I get home and they have a very similar salad that this pizza king used to offer. So sad, this used to be a quick easy meal for us especially in the summer time with the salads and now looks like we have to make a longer drive to go...

I was extremely displeased. I had ordered a large pepperoni pizza, picked it up and went home. It was burn on the edges and the bottom, black. It should have been remade, not prepared to go out the door. The pepperoni was tiny flecks sparsly sprinkled. The cheese was not Mozzarella, possible powdered parmesan. My adult son came home later, grabbed some on his way to his room. He came back, letting me know it was the worse pizza ever. He didn't think it had any pepperoni and wasn't sure what the cheese was. In the past I had no complaints with the food. Now I am not going back. Other people will not be coming back either. People love pizza but if it is awful they will...

They wanted to charge me for a specialty pizza ( per topping) for a deluxe for leaving off pepperoni on one side and leaving sausage off the other. When I asked why it would cost more to eliminate toppings the woman said I don't know how to explain this in a way you'll understand. Really!!!!! She proceeded to tell me it was more work and that was what I would charged for. I was ignored while waiting to pay because I was in my phone (a serious family matter) heard her say to the kid cooking it was because I was in the phone. Then she double charged me and did not know how to refund it to my card. Won't go back as long as this...
