This is easily the best ice cream I've ever had, and I grew up near Manchester with The Puritan just down the road. My wife and I make it a point to make this a weekly visit in the summer. They have a constantly rotating menu of flavors, with the most popular ones usually available at all times, like cookie dough, sweet cream and maple cream (my favorite). They also have really tasty hand squeezed lemonade, which we usually get just to bump our bill up to the acceptable about to use a card, although I don't think there is a limit anymore. The staff will always greet you with a smile, and they'll even let you sample the ice cream before you decide. The view is very pretty, especially at sunset. It's overlooking a small pasture, and the cows sometimes come by to say hi! Another thing, this is all homemade, so if you're getting tired of Blake's, Richardson's and Gifford's, stop by and try some maple cream...

If heaven had a food court, THIS ice cream shop would be the main attraction. I walked in expecting a single scoop and walked out with a waffle cone the size of my hopes and dreams. They didn’t just serve me ice cream — they served me purpose.

The flavors? Perfect. My favorite "Rasberry Chocolate Chunk”, it tastes like that first day of spring after a long New Hampshire winter. My son got “Blueberry Crumble” and we haven’t heard from him since. He’s either asleep or spiritually fulfilled.

The staff? Glorious. They smile like they know secrets. Probably because they do — like how to make Grasshopper Pie that tastes like it was churned by angels.

I asked for a sample, and they gave me a spoonful of joy. Then I blacked out and woke up with a loyalty punch card and a tattoo that says “One More Scoop.”

10/10. Would still eat even if I was...

Isley’s Ice Cream in Weare, NH makes some of the best ice cream you’ll ever have — creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. The product itself is truly fantastic.

But ordering feels a bit like a scene from Seinfeld (with the soup). Depending on whether you know the family or look like the regular crowd, you might get the sense the window could slide shut at any moment.

👉 There’s a firm two-pint limit. 👉 Friendliness seems to depend on whether you’re familiar to them or look like their usual customers. 👉 The ice cream is absolutely worth it — if you can get it.

It’s a reminder that great products aren’t enough to keep a business thriving. Sometimes, it’s the way customers are treated that determines whether they come back.

Bottom line: ✅ Ice cream: delicious - Try the Maple ⚠️ Customer experience: unpredictable — and that’s what...

Hands down my favorite ice cream! Great flavors, great quality and a wonderful atmosphere. I eagerly await their reopening every year and look for updates on Facebook. Expect long lines during busy hours, but they provide efficient and friendly service and the wait is worth it every time. Highly recommend their brown sugar oatmeal for a uniquely delicious experience, and their stellar fresh waffle cones. I'm also a huge fan of their seasonal pumpkin in the fall.

The wait in line is usually long as this is a popular and well known ice cream stop for so many. The atmosphere is so much fun. There are Plastic carved out Cows you can sit in to eat your delicious ice cream that you choose and the employees are always happily greeting you at the ice cream stand window. Very patient, curtious and obliging. Ilsley's makes their own ice cream. The farm is nearby. The ice cream is DELICIOUS!! A must visit.
