Stark House Tavern — Restaurant in Weare

Stark House Tavern in Weare, NH (Insert "where" jokes here) for a few pints & a f&%king amazingly great burger. A friend recommended this place to me about a year ago & I finally got around to going. Well worth the trip for sure, I was able to scoop three beers I hadn't had & the burger I got was delicious. Da burger had cheese, bacon & three tenders tossed in hot sauce on it to send it over the top. As I was eating it at the bar I was moaning loudly since it was doing some crazy things to my mouth, I got a lot of looks, but it was just jealousy! ✌♥️🍔🍆💦

The three beers I had were all good & of varying styles. I started off with the MILES & MILES Pale Ale which was a good above average pale ale from Henniker Brewing Company. My second pint was the CHRISTMAS ALE Scotch Ale from Bell's Brewery. I've been loving the scotch ales recently & this one was no different, they have been calling my name this season. My third & last pour was the HEART AND HEARTH Winter Ale from Mighty Squirrel Brewing Co. that was as smooth & crisp as I had hoped for the last & strongest beer of the trip. 🍻🍺❄🔥

All your usual seating options here including bar, high tops & tables with outdoor seating during warmer weather. Typical pub & bar look inside with some unique decor & a good vibe & feel. The bartender Kristin was great & even with a full dining room & bar still gave us excellent service. My ONLY complaint was that I couldn't get tot's as a side for my burger even though they're available on the menu for other options. I'm going to have to come back & relive this venture soon with a different burger & beers, so good! 🍻🍻🔥✌♥️🍺

Come for the atmosphere, stay for the tots!

Homemade tots, several flavor combinations on the menu, did not disappoint!

Like a deep fried mashed potato ball covered in whatever your heart desires, I would certainly partake in a tot buffet to try them all.

Smothered in a cheesy sauce you want to swim in.

Wings were ok, long list of sauces to try and tantalize your taste buds.

And then the meals came .... portion size is HUGE, so many hand cut fries, get the ranch for dipping!

Hot chicken sandwich was fantastic, the perfect combination of pickle, heat, chicken ratio, and the breading on the chicken added just enough crunch without being too much of a mouthful with the bread.

Chicken Tenders were equally as delicious!

They offer a full bar, TVs for sports fans, or just something to entertain the kids, animal videos were playing on one TV on repeat.

Cute tavern decor, friendly attentive wait staff.

Even on a mid day, Friday for lunch they were still busy, plan ahead, or plan to wait for a table.

We didn't have anything smoked this round, but a large smoker is outside and this definitely peeked my curiosity for our next...

Stark House Tavern, the local watering hole. The only place where I can hate every ingredient in something and end up liking it (M-80s). The "North of the Border" tots? Immaculate. Imagine munchkins except they're mashed potatoes in a shell of deliciousness, smothered in gravy and cheese curds. Angels sing every time a plate of them gets put in front of me. The burgers? Perfect. As long as you dont order it well done like a buffoon.

My only gripe with this place is that it's not big enough but that's okay because they serve you beer in the "waiting room", which is enough to shut me up about waiting. Way better than the doctors office waiting room. My second only gripe is that I wish they had more options for Sours and Ciders, cause I love them and there's usually only 1 or 2. This is a "me" problem because I'm at Stark more than I'd like to admit, and get bored easily. They do have a good selection of Stouts, Porters and IPAs, which are essentially jet fuel in my humble opinion. The servers are also super nice! (yes I just left there a...
