Went there for the first time yesterday because it was a gorgeous day. Had one of the most lackluster dining experiences I’ve ever had and will never be going back. I don’t tend to leave negative reviews but I work as a server and I just think the service was absolutely terrible. We arrived at 545 and put our name down for a table outside. We were quoted 45 minutes. We had a drink at the bar while we waited. The bartender took our order of 2 drinks and an order of oysters. The drinks came out but the oysters never did until the bartender came over much later and apologized for forgetting to put them in. Which is fine, mistakes happen, but this was just the first mistake in a continuous series of mistakes we had to put up with for the entire time we were there We weren’t sat until an hour and a half later. I believe our name was accidentally skipped over on their pen and paper wait list, from the way some of the staff was acting. Again, whatever, mistakes happen, and we weren’t angry but we were hungry and ready to get our meal going.
We finally got sat outside and our red headed server didn’t approach our table for over 10 minutes. He actually walked by our table and looked at us several times while he helped other tables around us. I assumed he wasn’t our server because of how many times he chose not to just say “hey guys I’ll be right with you” or anything. I’ve never had to do this but finally I got up and asked if someone could send our server over. Our server was kind, but clearly very young and inexperienced. When he came up and asked if we wanted drink I let him know we just want to put in all of our food as well. We ordered 2 apps & 3 entrees. Wings and mussels, and when he was taking our order I asked if we could have a side of bread for the mussels. Also we asked for 2 cocktails and 3 waters. Again we said whenever anything’s ready if you could just send it right out. The 2 drinks came out first. And then the wings. And then the waters. In that order. The wings tasted fine, but I’m positive they were just from a frozen bag. It took a while for the entrees to come out, which is normal for a busy restaurant, but our mussel appetizer came out with the entrees. I know it don’t take long to cook mussels. Also there was no bread, I asked the food runner if she could get a side of bread for us and she said yes. We started to eat. The mussels were good. My friend got the tuna melt which she enjoyed and my other friend got fish and chips which he liked. Me and him both had fries on our plate, and agreed they are Ore-Ida frozen fries. I’m not mad a a frozen fry but idk it just tasted cheap. Not crispy, under-seasoned frozen fries with our meal. Yum.
I got the stuffed shrimp, “stuffed with lobster and cornbread crumble”. It didn’t taste bad, it just didn’t really taste good either. It was 5 butterflied shrimp that they then covered what was a mixture of 60% cornbread, 20% small small pieces of lobster , and 20% butter. Basically, the way it ate, was 5 pieces of shrimp covered in a mushy mash of cornbread stuffing? It was gluey to eat. It didn’t taste bad, I just wish I had ordered something else. I saw a lot of people eating the lobster roll and seeming to really enjoy it. I wish I had ordered that. Lol.
The bread for the mussels never came haha and by the time our server checked in with us well into our meal it wasn’t worth asking for it again. Service was just bad. Again the kid was nice but needs to be insanely trained on steps of service.
We went there to sit outside cuz it was a beautiful sunny day. We put our name down @545, got sat @715, sun set @750 & it got cold, entrees arrived @800, Asked for the check & no boxes @815. He dropped the check and didn’t come back to run our card til 830. Then we left. The 3 of us spent almost 3 hours and 100$ each for just a true waste of time and money. No one was rude. If we were sat late on accident that’s fine but then maybe make sure the rest of our time there goes smoothly? Idk. It was just so weird the whole time. Won’t go back.

Read moreI was here as part of a wedding and I have a very mixed opinion. The reception area was really nice. Everything was clean. The location is also really beautiful and the deck was nice. The food was decent; the steak was perfectly medium but the potatoes could have used a little more salt. The bar was also decent. I wish I could provide a review on the pricing of their wedding package but I'm not sure how much was spent. My issues with the venue come more from their lack of preparedness. The ceremony space is outdoors and it was forecasted to rain. They seemed to have no idea what to do in case of rain. They should always have some quick back up plan to move the ceremony inside, or give the family an option to reserve a large tent to put over the ceremony area. They also didn't put out a runner so the brides dress dragged in the wet sand. I wasn't able to attend the rehersal, but I heard the party was waiting a long time before anyone from the restaurant came to speak with them. They ended up beginning rehersal on their own for some time before anyone came out to help. The venue does not have a bridal suite, so we were told the restroom near the event space would be closed off for us. It was not. There were diners coming in while we were trying to get ready. It's also just a bathroom with stalls, no benches or hooks or anything so the bride was literally putting her dress on in the stall. Please consider putting in a real bridal suite downstairs so the bride has somewhere private to get ready and doesn't need to walk down the (slippery) deck stairs in a wedding dress! There was also some confusion at the end of the night about the sparkler send off. The mother of the bride was told in writing that it was okay but when it came time to do it the waitstaff was telling us they weren't sure we were allowed. A manager ended up getting involved and we were allowed to do the send off, but this issue should have never come up. Information about what is acceptable for send offs (sparklers, confetti, bird seed, etc) should be outlined in the event contract to avoid last minute confusion. Also, just a small thing, consider having cardboard cake boxes for guests to take home leftovers. You could even charge for the. I am going into the wedding industry and because of these things I would have qualms about recommending the venue to future clients. Which is unfortunate because its a beautiful spot! But if improvements are made I could be persuaded to...
Read morehello. Today I will be going over the 3.25 clam chowder from point breeze bite by bite. First, I looked at the menu and was quickly intrigued by the clam chowder. ONLY 3.25! At this moment I wanted to see if the price matched the taste, so I ordered clam chowder from my waitress. At this time I was wondering if this meal came with crackers or not and it so, how many? Right then, as I was pondering this, my clam chowder came to the table. Right as I was about to take my very first bite, I had gotten a text from my mom saying “you have to be home in five minutes” at this point in time, I was fairly irritated with my mom because she always does this! She’s always been too controlling. One time, for my own birthday party, she decided what flavored cake I got when it was MY birthday party! After being ticked off by that, i replied “don’t tell me what to do MOM” I was about to take my first bite again when I saw the crackers wrapped up, so I opened up the crackers and counted how many there were. This cracker pack had 13.5 crackers... oh wait, I had eaten half a cracker already. Make that 14. When I finally took my first bite, it had tasted pretty cold because I was thinking about my mom... I hated it. On the second bite however, I remembered the cake she got me from my birthday was amazing so I loved it. Then I started panicking. I was already two bites in, and I hadn’t even used any crackers yet! This clam chowder might have been too much chowder and not enough clam for my liking. And then I finished it. Then I woke up to my mom tapping me on my shoulder to get up for work. Classic Mom! My alarm doesn’t go off for another 10 minutes! Anywho I never had any clam chowder and it just seemed SO real, I could almost taste it. So you guys are currently probably asking the question, so it point breeze good? My answer to that is I will let you all decide it for yourself. I don’t have the same tastebuds as all of you! Go bring 3.25$ to point breeze and buy some clam chowder. Tell me if it’s good or not. Let me know if this review helped you or cleared...
