A Papano's Pizza — Restaurant in Weldon Township

Update to the update: Back to 5 stars, we have eaten here quite a few times now, it's great! Please keep up the great work!

Previous Update: Below is my original review, thank you for your quick response. I'm upping it to 4 stars because of it, also, maybe it was an off day or maybe I was overly sensitive because of what I had heard. I will of course be ordering more pizzas, and will update again. Thanks again!

ORIGINAL: Um, so we order from here all the time, we have for many years. The pizza has always been top notch, "better than Ellens" according to my wife. Something changed recently... It started when our friends (who also order from here all the time) said "something's different, they changed something, it's not as good." OK well, maybe that's just their opinion. Then the kids at the local school (BV) started telling my kids the same thing. Hmm... Well, we ordered the pizza we ALWAYS order (medium Mediterranean with garlic parm crust) typically AMAZING, has been for many years! This time... not amazing. Really kinda blah. It was pizza, but it wasnt what we have come to love with Papano's. My wife thinks it's the crust, I think it's the sauce. Honestly it's probably both.

I see the owner sometimes answers these posts, so I would just like to say. If you have changed your recipe on crust, or sauce, (or both), PLEASE go back to what you had, it was so good. Word is getting around. You'll probably still get the Crystal traffic, but us locals are dropping like flies. If you haven't changed anything about your recipe, then maybe some quality control is the answer, or something. I'm sorry to leave such a review, but without the negative input, how would you know what to improve on, or if a change you made was the right choice or not. Maybe it was a corporate decision, if so please feel free to share this with whomever.

I honestly can't speak for the quality of anything other than the pizza, we have never had a problem with this establishment (even when we had to take our receipt to the gas station counter and back again to pay with a credit card, haha. Good times, good times) Anywho those are my thoughts, feel free to disagree with me. But I had to say something. Thank you for your time, Jason P. Horrible place.....I placed an order online for one large and one medium and wings. It said the order will be completed in 25 minutes. I went to pick it up I waited half hour. Rachel who is apparently one of the managers said 5 minutes and that end up half hour where I saw them taking another order for many pizzas. That said they made the medium pizza wrong and said is that okay hoping I would take it. I asked them to redo my whole order and they would not. They offered for them to pick out the topics out of the medium pizza. I said I wanted the entire order redone. They said only medium. Yet the other part of the food was already seating for half hour out. I ended up asking for refund. Wasted 40 minutes on this place. Horrible customer service. They need better managers...

We were visiting and got in late. Rather than make dinner, and have a bunch of dishes when we all leave in the morning pizza here was suggested.

I created an account online, ordered, etc. No issues, worked great. Picked the pizza up, little wait, but apparently was slammed with orders. No problem. We got back, ripped into that bad boy, to mixed reviews. My wife, loved it. Myself, disappointed. I ordered double cheese, but mine you could see individual shreds of cheese, it was that thin. The other half (my wife got) was much thicker.

The pizza tasted good, was hot etc. Would have been 5 stars, if I'd have gotten my double cheese on the whole pizza. Regardless we'll give them another shot next time...
