The coziest Mom'n'Pap's country restaurant ever!.../without fancy price tags/.

We were working in the area and everything was extremely remote, so this was our only option unless we drive another 15-20 minutes. We didn't think much at first looking from the outside, but once we entered we were amazed. The place was modestly but very nicely decorated for Thanksgiving. Some of the art on the wall even in the bathroom was hand made from scratch just like the food. A very warm, cozy and welcoming place. The food was AMAZING, one can only get at loving and caring Mom's kitchen at home!...to say the least. First day I ordered hand breaded chicken with mashed potatoes and brown gravy, which was very good...next day I got the catfish plate - two thick breaded pieces almost the size of my under arm each /I didn't even know catfish grow that big/...and third day I ordered the ham omlette with hashbrowns, salsa and added mushroom, which I can say without exagerating, was probably one of the best omlettes I've had in my life so far. Whoever made it must be either some sort of gourmet chef or just be blessed beyond measure! Since I had to drop the desert the previous two days because I got filled up, the last day I ordered a slice of carrot cake with a glass of milk...IT WAS FANTASTIC!!...It was the most juicy/moist, perfectly made piece of carrot cake I've ever tasted /up to that point I thought publix's carrot cake was the best - now I felt like I've never eaten carrot cake in my life - I mean really mean it. Now, the service topped it all - every person we met there was just a delight to speak to - genuinely honest and very friendly, accomodating, all-in-all - Lovely people! When I am surrounded by real people providing this kind of service, I refuse to count the money, and I can say - it was worth...

Horrible experience! Ordered the food in a timely manner. 1hour later, my wife got her tough small chicken fried steak. My son got a burger but they added the sauce he specifically asked not to be included. He said though, it was fantastic anyway. I ordered a patty melt with chopped onions grilled with fries, but that came a little later. When it finally came out, the waitress asked me, is this right? If she had to ask, she knew it was wrong before she got to the table. A mushroom swiss burger with tots. Sent it back and waited. By the time she came with the patty melt and fries, my family was close to finished. After a peak, the onions were sliced, not chopped, but the huge problem was, the patty melt was supposed to be a 1/3 lb. It was a kids McDonald's size patty... No joke. I took the whole basket back to the kitchen and told them to fix the issues. After my family ate, and no refills on drinks later, she brings me the right size patty melt, with no fries and now burnt black bread. I think they put the bread that had already been toasted back on the grill.... Poor decision. I refused it all. Then, the owner had the nerve to say, we credited your patty melt! Nevermind the treatment for the situation. NEVER...

Traveling with my family to the state H.S. Basketball playoffs in Yukon and my mother just had to stop here and try their chicken fried steaks. Well, we each got something different, and we all loved what we got. My pork chops were tender, juicy, and delicious seasoned, and the mashed potatoes were fluffy, creamy, and just all around excellent! My father loved his burger, and my mother was terribly sad because her chicken fried steak was as delicious as she hoped it would be, but she couldn't finish it. She was still recovering from dental surgery and she just hasn't yet progressed to eating food as solid as a good chicken friend steak.

Our waitress was extremely sweet, pleasent, and helpful. She and the kitchen were very flexible with substitution requests. We ended up not asking for any substitutions when it finally came time to order, but it was really nice to know I could have if I really wanted too. The option between having their daily soup or the salad bar was a nice one too. The salad bar was small, but everything looked really fresh and tasted wonderful.

The restaurant and their ladies bathrooms both looked very clean. I can't speak for the men's, but I would be surprised if they...
