Local owned small Philly style Sub shop. It's obvious their budget is small currently and that is okay. It can be hard to get a non-chain restaurant up and going. The location, though on Washington in Ogden, sits off the road and is hard to see as you drive by. There isn't much parking available. The dining area reflects the low operating budget. The menu is very basic and lacks much detail about what you get on your sandwich. None of what I have reviewed so far would keep me from going back. The one think that would however is the Philly Sub itself. They use cheese sauce instead of real cheese. To me that's simply not acceptable. I am a real cheese person.
Update.. Dropped the review from 3 Stars to 1 Star because obviously the owner would rather berate a customer rather than be understanding of a fair rating. There is nothing "unfair" about my review whatsoever. I have traveled all over this Country, I have had Philly Cheese-steaks from various locations in several different states. Not a single one has ever used fake Cheese. Whiz as you admit that you use, is NOT cheese. Look on the label. It's a Cheese product. Meaning it the process to make it has nothing to do with the process to make real cheese. Meaning this isn't a "Cheese Steak" but a "Gee-Whiz-Steak" and a very sloppy one at that. Realize that there are those of us out there who go to places to eat and are willing to write an honest review. I place will get a good rating when they have great service, great food at price that matches. Your service was just "okay", your food wasn't great and the price was about average. Therefore, I initially wrote the 3 star rating. Now since you want to accuse me of making false statements, the new...
Read moreJust lost a devout customer. Loved you in Ogden but you moved north. I come when I can make it. Half the time I make it out there it was closed during lunch weekdays for one reason or another. I should have called, that's on me. However, I called this time, they're open. Showed up with my kids and my sisters family and a few more nephews. Total of 3 adults and 9 kids between 16 and 3. Been planning this for about 4 weeks and we finally got it to work. We're excited.
First off, the owner was pretty rude to us while the kids ordered their food. Second, a couple kids come in the back door after we get our food, then the owner starts full on yelling in the back, which is open to the front. Third, he's just back there evil eyeing us most of the time we were there. I'd get that if the kids we're crazy but they're we're actually behaving because they had each other to keep entertained. Fourth, someone was back there getting high. The smell of weed filled the whole place, with 9 children in the store. C'mon. Fifth, their front door doesn't swing close so after we leave he's yelling "Close the door!" over and over at us as we're outside getting in the car. I get it, that's on us for not checking after the last kid. But maybe a please would help, even though you're bellowing from the back at us.
The foods great and he got it out to us pretty quickly for how many people we had. But I'll never be going back there again after this. Sad times. Customer service is key for privately owned businesses...

It’s one of those places where the negative reviews actually are relevant yet I stupidly still gave this place the benefit of the doubt. They’re absolutely overcharging by a LARGE margin. Expect a whopping ~$36 bill for two cheesesteaks and a handful of fries complete with an unadvertised card fee.
Reviews about the cheesesteak being like ground beef (low quality at that) are spot on. I also don’t see how you can call yourself a chef-run cheesesteak place but make rookie mistakes like burning your buns and barely grilling the veggies.
They also can’t be bothered with something as simple as updating their hours online. For those that care, closing time is apparently 7:30pm but it doesn’t matter to me because I won’t...
