CAFE MYTH @ Benson Vineyards — Restaurant in Wenatchee

We stopped to sample the wine at this winery. My wife enjoys a glass of wine and likes to sample different wines. She chose this winery because of the view and it was on top of a hill. I thought that the cafe myth had more to offer than pizza because my wife called it a restaurant but she tricked me because she knew I was not too keen on the idea of a winery. My wife liked the wine but thought it was too expensive and the price didn't reflect the taste of the wine. We went to other wineries which had a better taste with a more affordable wine. The pizza was good but too small for two people and also overpriced. The view was great but it was too windy. It was so windy that the wine glasses on the tables were flying out and breaking. What bothered me was that no one was coming out to clean the broken glass. Even when I went in and made them aware of the situation it took about 15 minutes before anyone came over to clean up. One of my favorite things was to see the dog coming around begging for food. It had a collar that said "please don't feed me". I couldn't have because there was not enough pizza...

Me: I am easy to please, you can't deny that. Him:... We just ate at a winery on top of a mountain overlooking a lake! Me: oh. 🤣

And to think I all started with me searching for pizza, seeing one photo from this establishment, and deciding to try it.

The winery is just 15 minutes from Lake Chelan and it's a scenic drive and location, as well.

This pizza place is the second of it's kind, from what I've heard, and people say it's better than the first. What I'll say is that I had a margherita with cupped pepperoni and it was delicious. The crust was fluffy and had a nice crunch, and everything tasted as it should, for a Neapolitan pizza. I would say it's as tasty as most Neapolitan pizza establishments that prepare pizzas properly.

What I love most about it was that I was able to do a wine tasting while waiting for the pizzas to be done, and the tiramisu gelato was SO good. Admiring the vineyard, the mountains and lake Chelan was very...

Beautiful venue. No waiters because you order up front. Disappoint appetizers are given when you receive a text message to let you know to pick up your whole order. When it could have been easily handed to you when you placed your order. Maybe they shouldn't call them appetizers. Everything was served on plastic except the wine even the beer. And one thing I did not like which others may is that they run your card once you sign for it and after that when you go up to order they just put it on your card without you having to get it out or sign for it again. Another thing to be aware of is not making changes on the menu. One of the things I observed while I was there was an upset cook who came out to talk with the guy at the counter taking the order. He was not happy about substations. I have to admit I fell in love with one of the wines and the pizzas were very good just not in my price range for what I'm getting. I left...
