The actual place is very nice, and the baked goods are good and decent prices. The cooked food on the other than leaves a lot to be desired. Chicken was okay, but the potatoes were very hard, and the French fries were terrible. $6 for the "large" fry and that was what was given and they were extremly dry. Prices are OK, but the definite highlight were all the baked goods and setting.

If you are in the area, you have to stop by here. Everything was excellent. You won't be disappointed. Only open Thurs, Fri, and Sat. I have to update: we stopped by for breakfast this morning and for dinner tonight. When you find a great place to eat, why not go back. We were only here for a few days, so we had to get in as much as possible. New pic's from today.

We go here a couple times a month. Always order a couple pounds of Brisket amongst other things. Usually very good. Came in today around 2pm. Ordered 2lbs of brisket, chicken and sides. Brisket was horrible! I wound up throwing most of it away. Very dry almost like leather. Also very greasy. Definitely inedible. Not sure we will be back.

Great Bar-B-Q year round. The ribs are a little pricey but worth every penny. I've eaten everything on the menu many times over and never been dissapointed. There is also a bakery outlet within the same vendor space. Now, this is where things get just a li'l peculiar. Ive frequented this location over the years and under several ownerships as several different businesses. The first being a bar, the Schoolhouse Inn, many years ago. The derived from the building itself being an old "one room scoolhouse". Whether thats a fact or not, im not sure, but it appears that its probable to be true. After closing about 5 or 6 years ago, the bar was converted to a breakfast/lunch restaurant, the "Lazy Egg". Also a very good stop for breakfast. I would of named it "School Lunch" or "Lunch- Ladyland", etc.... but nobody really asked me. All this being said, my point is that with such an academic history for this place, one would think that you could trust the math. On more than one occasion, i was overcharged while paying for my purchases. You must do your own math and compare with the total that you are asked to pay. When you get to the bakery side and purchase your sweets, be extra vigilant and persistent with your total. It seems that the cashier, while having a modern digital cash register is numerically dyslexic. Not that theres anything wrong with that! Just add up your purchases and challenge her if she has a different total. 7.95 🚫🟰9.75 ×4. All the treats are delicious and nutritious, and way better than anything on a shelf in any...

We were driving up the road and with the car windows open, we got the smell of marvelous bbq. A quick u-turn got us back to the parking lot. We are so glad we did! It was lunch time so we ordered brisket sandwiches with mac and cheese. Quite tasty. We took home some ribs and chicken halves. Every bite was tasty and enjoyed. They offer a nice selection of hot foods and there are also some home made treats to be had as well. There are a few tables to enjoy your food and it is nice to have a hand washing sink right there. Everyone that was working was smiling and happy to serve us. We appreciate that. Overall a great experience that will bring us back...

We were anticipating trying this restaurant for the good reviews on their BBQ. Whelp, I got the chicken platter in which the chicken was so dried out I could not eat it. My husband got the pulled pork which was very fatty, greasy, and the sauce was terrible. My husband said it was tasteless.

We will say the mac and cheese was very good but not what we want there for. Saw another person said on a review said the potatoe salad was good. Not sure what they were eating but that is a hard no for us both. We paid extra for it as well.

Bottom line - definitely not...
