Ok...so this is not a bad review but its something that i think, at least on behalf of the front of house staff, needs to be said..this is not a reflection of the food because i have yet to eat a bad meal but tonight i did order a half cheese half pepperoni pizza where only one slice was cheese....i also witnessed alot of animosity toward the front of the house for which seemed to be an inexperienced employee...but when i approached the counter the employee was polite..and apologized for her mistakes..this is not the first time ive been in the resturant but this time kinda rubbed me the wrong way because it was particuarly busier than ive seen before...but again not a reflection on the service or the meal because aside from the pizza this evening the food is top notch...but when i specify on three different occasions that its half cheese half pepperoni and i open the box to one slice of cheese and the rest pepperoni...it tends to put the whole berating the people up front for not adequately performing their duties in perspective...ive never worked in the resturant business so my opinion is probably way out of line but i have worked for someone else my entire adult life..If you want someone to respect you and the business your running...you respect the people in the trenches who talk to your customers...serve your customers and ultimately influence the amount of money and customers you see...Kudos to the employee ( who i will not mention due to not knowing how this will be taken) for remaining professional even when she was visably flustered and seemingly nervous...She did a fantastic job of keeping her composure....At the end of the day this is your business...you choose how to conduct yourselves in front of your employees and customers....in turn its our choice as consumers to choose to continue to come there, pay for the service you provide or to never step foot in there again...Again awesome job to the employee for the polite and friendly interaction from...
Read moreEdit after owner response: Yes i am %100 sure this was at Giovanni's italian restaurant 188 E main st Reinholds pa 17569. I find it funny four months later you imply it was from somewhere else. I would try the newly built Giovanni's near the hills where my new home is in this state but it's closed and for sale. I could say a lot worse but i will stop at that for now. ORIGINAL REVIEW... I stopped by to try a slice and this is as far as i got. I gotta admit it looks great which is why i was so surprised when i took one bite and hated it enough to spit it out. I guess they can't all be winners and there are a lot of pizza places to choose from in the area.
Edit after being insulted by customer: I was not being vitriolic i'm actually very happy with my family, two beautiful homes and other possessions. I have had plenty of real life problems to earn what i have thus far in life. I however don't appreciate when people yell at through cap lock and insult me the way you and the owner of this place has me and my friends. A group of five two have yet to review. I am a busy person i never bother complaining about bad food where i got it because i don't wan't to wait longer also don't wan't anything else from wherever i just got the bad order from. Honestly i don't like leaving a lot of bad reviews and was very easy on them in my initial review. I could have said so much more about other things i don't like about the place but i'm still not. I however do have to say two cousins handled my raw pizza review better than this place has handled me just simply not liking...
Read moreAwful experience ordering delivery with this restaurant. I received a text message my food was on the way and to be delivered by 4:10pm. At 4:25pm I called the restaurant to ask the whereabouts of my food I ordered for my family. The woman/owner simply said “no one picked it up” and offered no solution other than to call the company they use “Slice” who makes deliveries for them. I repeatedly asked for my money back, meaning the money I paid them for the food, and I would call Slice to inquire about getting my money back for their delivery service portion of my bill. The owner refused to give my money back and repeatedly told me it was not her problem. I asked if no one picked up my food for hours would she just leave it there and she offered no apology or solution just that I would need to call the delivery company. Giovanni’s offers delivery for 5% off on their actual website, NOT an app like Grubhub, nothing. This food was ordered directly from their website then they won’t stand behind their services and tell you it’s the customer’s problem. My food finally arrived 45 minutes after I was told it would and it was incomplete, no sauce for the Stromboli I ordered as well as no garlic bread for the pasta dinner that was ordered and it was cold. Instead of calling back I’ve cut my losses and will never again order from this restaurant solely based on their absolutely atrocious...
