We moved to this area 2 years ago. Since then we've gone to KK about 200 times, and that's hardly an exaggeration. Breakfast every saturday and sunday, lots of lunch/dinner as well. Always loved it, never had ANY real issue (aside from quality going down hill recently but we live closeby so we kept enjoying the convenience).
The ONLY "complaints" we ever had were as follows:
One time, early on, they gave us a couple items from someone else's order in place of the pancakes we ordered. We called to inform them and they told us we could keep the other persons cinnamon bun sandwich thing (that we didn't find appetizing), and their hashbrowns we can pick up our replacement anytime. We were A-OK with this, thanked them, the end.
Some time later; they accidentally gave us plain pancakes instead of Pumpkin pancakes, and being that they were a weekly item on their last day, we called to tell them and to get the Pumpkin pancakes. We offered to bring back the wrong ones and they told us that wasn't necessary. Once again, we were thrilled with this solution.
Several months go by, and instead of getting the brisket sandwich I had gotten nearly every single time by this point, I decided to get the brisket platter, but asked that instead of the different food items being layered, that they keep each component separate, but inside one single container, with the sauces on the side. We tried this before, and as with the first time, they for some reason packaged each component in their own Styrofoam container. Talking like 6 containers. And no sauces. So, since it was the second time, we called just to ask them if they could do it properly the next time, and DID NOT ASK a refund or anything despite also noticing the portions were significantly smaller. Just wanted it packaged correctly next time. End of complaint. We were slightly annoyed and confused, but not mad.
TODAY, probably 2.5 months after the last instance, we ordered our normal breakfast items. I got my brisket on a biscuit sandwich. I get home to eat it, and i am not exaggerating when I say I could not chew through it. Gotten this brisket countless times, likely over 100 times, we used to rave about it. This was all gristle and LITERALLY inedible.
So, I called and just nicely indicated all of the latter info to the manager, and she offered me nothing and instead said she was gonna "investigate" the situation... meanwhile, I told her I still have 85% of this sandwich in hand, telling her I can bring it in and show her, I just want a remake so I may eat. Also expressed how much I hated to even ask because I love it there so much! But it's a $10 sandwich, so I'd like to eat it.
This manager then went on to very rudely insist that I've called in too many times with issues and that I would be required to eat some of the sandwich there in front of her before I'm able to leave! Then I question what else have we complained about?? I said "we've been there well over 100 times in under a year and have NEVER asked for a refund, and only called in 3 times post-pickup". I was very confused by this naturally. Her only response was to mention how I called in that one time to ask about the packaging of the brisket bowl. THIS WAS THE ONLY INSTANCE SHE COULD NAME. Likely because that was the only time we've ever called in with anything resembling a complaint.
And that was when she just decided to hang up on me twice in a row. And yes, it was truly as rude as I'm making it sound right now.
Anyway so long story long, that is why we will never visit this place again. Because of how we were treated when asking for a remake of a poorly made sandwich, that I offered to bring back in nearly in it's entirety. Thanks for the memories I suppose lol.
P.s. the family who told us about you guys had a less than ideal dinner experience some weeks back and so they stopped going as well. I told them all of this and they weren't surprised. They've been coming here for decades and we just have bad timing apparently; discovering this place as it goes...
Read moreVery disappointed in customer service. Ordered food waited over 30 mins. When asking about our order, come to find they didn't even start it. Not because they were busy, but because the girl taking the order didn't print out the copy that goes to the kitchen? Total confusion that we even ordered? I was very upset, because I didn't get to eat before a 12 hr shift.
Update: Because the owner reach out to me; which I truly appreciated, I need to update my review. They have enough work cutout for them in training and getting competent help. Unfortunately, this restaurant is in the same boat as many during these crazy times. Employees with a work ethic is hard to find, let alone keep. What upset me the most was the employee's lack of caring attitude from placing to the order to even making sure it was started. Then when the mess up was brought to the attention of the management, she just didn't even care she messed up. Not even a reaction or a care as to what she might have done wrong. I feel frustrated with this generation, but with that being said, this restaurant does care about their service and is working hard to train new employees properly.
So even though, I unfortunately didn't get to have lunch today d/t time personal restraints, nor did I accept an offer for coupons or free icecream; am changing my 1 star review to a 4. My sister swears their food is fantastic and I will swear they care about their customer's...
Read moreDined in on a slow Thursday evening. Lindsay took our order and said it would be 20 minutes. Thirty minutes later our food arrived. Not only did the 4-piece fried chicken come out overcooked/well done, but the cheesesteak sub came out wrong as a chicken cheesesteak sub. Hungry and tired, we ate what we could, but the food left much to be desired. The drive-thru seemed busy and food was whipping out the kitchen to the window. Yet when our food was ready, we watched it sit on the counter for a couple of minutes before it was brought to our table. It also looked like the oldest employee working was in their late teens, maybe twenty years old. Needless to say, we would not recommend this place for dinner. Maybe we would come for dessert because the ice cream looked good but we didn’t waste anymore time or money. Oh and the waters we ordered came out super late with the food. We ended up helping ourselves to the bottled water out of the cooler (oops) because we sat and sat and sat without a...
