Hometown Eatery is an adorable small-town spot, with the atmosphere and service to match. However, I will admit that the food left something to be desired. I had the chopped steak, eggs, hash browns, and toast. The chopped steak was cold on the first bite, which I can only assume is because it sat before it could be served. The eggs were standard fare, but the hash browns had lots of flavor! Syd had the French toast and enjoyed their meal. My partner and I told the owner (who was our server) that it was our first time in and they were very welcoming. I asked if it was always this busy, and was told that it wasn't typically as crazy as it was when we visited. I can imagine that the food and wait time (which was ~45mins) are better when they aren't slammed. We're excited to give this spot a second try, hopefully on a less busy day. Even though the food was fairly average, the atmosphere left us with a positive experience.

The food was fresh and flavorful. The staff was welcoming and the space was clean and bright. We had a fabulous breakfast and after seeing some lunch plates and hearing about their awesome desserts, we are planning a return for lunch.

The best food out there and if you like steak they can actually cook a thin breakfast steak and get it medium rare everytime. The owner goes out of her way to make sure your food is just how you like it everytime you eat there. Pricing is more than fair too. If you want great homecooked food while on the road this is the place to stop. Us locals really love them too. Were there just about every week and sometimes more. They know us by name and know what we order. From cooks to waitresses this place is an A++ in our...

This diner is exactly what we were looking for when we wanted breakfast Monday morning. My daughter got the peanut butter french toast and "sick to your ribs" is an understatement. I got eggs over medium (cooked perfect) and we both agreed the hash browns were some of the best we've had anywhere. Plenty of hot coffee. Great service and reasonable prices. (Especially for the portions neither of us could finish in one sitting) . If you're seeing this, stop scrolling and just get in the...
