Loons Nest Coffee — Restaurant in West Cook

Spent a week on the trail and stopped here 3 times. We tried lattes, chai, cardamom rolls (fresh and day old) and a breakfast sandwich. No complaints. It was always a one woman show so be patient it will be worth it. There is a little difference in the rolls as the cardamom is part of the filling not in the dough. The fresh rolls were SO soft! This doesn’t take away from the deliciousness, just different from the Finnish rolls we’ve had and make (might be a good short cut to try at home).

P.s. The on-site port a potty was a pleasant surprise, yep I said it. Clean, didn’t stink,...

Just saw that this place opened up for the season and we happened to be driving by it on our way home from the BWCA!

I had a really good iced chai, the famous cardamom roll (the frosting was amazing), and a Chorizo egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was so good and would highly recommend getting the cardamom roll.

Friendly and fast service and they have wifi you can use. The inside was small but they had some tables and sold coffee beans and apparel.

Will definitely stop by again the next time...

Amazing coffee and food! Had the hot chocolate and a caramel latte, both were amazing. Highly recommend the hot chocolate, I think it was one of the best I have had from a coffee shop. Also had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant which was also amazing.

Also bought the instant coffee to bring home, which is amazing and makes it super easy to make a coffee shop quality drink at home.
