REVISED AS OF MAY 2025: Unfortunately, I have to take some stars away due to a visit from Sunday, April 27, 2025 and a not so great experience. The server took our orders for food, wrote it down, and put them in. Instead of telling us right away that they were out of something my son really wanted (mind you it was his birthday), they decided to bring out the appetizer and tell us that they were out of it, which not only upset him but also us because this could have been told to us before bringing the appetizer out; but no, that failed to happen. I guess whoever was in charge that evening tried to make it seem like it was our fault claiming that the server told us in advance (if she did, why would she write it down on the order???) and she didn’t know why it’s such a big deal (umm, to some people it is???) then basically told us to get over it; just straight up rude! Not only that, but I witnessed how they were quick to give someone else a discount because of a similar issue — so, I guess only the locals matter. On an extremely rare occasion do I not tip, and that’s what happened that day (this is coming from a tipped worker, too!) Sadly, you couldn’t pay me any amount of money to come back anytime soon. Maybe one day in the future, but as of right now, we will be going back to the diner by where I grew up anytime we visit as I’d rather spend more money as well as get better service than deal with such not so good service. It takes one time for something to go wrong to make us not want to come somewhere. Until the nonsense like that stops, I won’t even recommend this to my worst enemy or even come back.

Decided to try this place and if I’m telling you this is better than the diner I grew up by then that’s saying a lot because that is the case here. Best diner in the area! Highly recommend this place to all! The food is beyond excellent, the service is great, the owners and staff are nice, highly recommend this place :) We will most definitely...

I don't think I've ever actually left a negative review. But here goes nothing: When we walked in we were greeted with a smile, ushered to our booth, and she took our drink order right away. Great job! That was the only good experience until we walked out of the door.

Maple syrup containers! Fruit flies LOVE maple syrup, so do ants. Fun fact, ants can smell sugar from HUNDREDS of miles away, and they can climb virtually anything! They might die when they drown in the sugary stuff and thats the problem! Buy COVERED maple syrup containers, not brown ketchup bottles!

Its kind of a small issue, but what do your coffee drinkers drink if they don't like half & half? No coffee mate, no international delight, hell you charged me $2.35 for a dinky cup of coffee, cant you offer more than just Sysco brand half&half?

Eggs were fine, you can't screw up over easy eggs.

Pancakes were burnt

Sausage was not appetizing

"Home fries" were crispy on one side and cold on the other

We gave your waitress an opportunity to make things right, but i guess she thought it was a complement when I said everything was "meh, fine"

$26.50 for breakfast for two, and NOTHING tasted great.

We moved in down the street a year ago, never tried your food before, and we'll never...

🚫 MISLEADING BUSINESS HOURS – EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED

I stayed at a hotel right next door to Manada Hill Diner and figured grabbing food would be easy. I called at 8:50 p.m. on a Monday to place a pickup order—was told the kitchen was closed. Strange, considering their posted business hours say they're open until 9:00 p.m.

So I walk over in person at 8:55 p.m. and... surprise! I get the same excuse—“we’re closed.” Not only that, but no one greeted me, no sign at the door, and I had to wait around until someone finally acknowledged me. A lady named Elizabeth confirmed it again: kitchen closed. Not a sorry, not an explanation, just... closed.

Here’s the problem: If your kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m., then your posted hours need to reflect that. Don’t advertise you're open until 9 p.m. if you won’t even take phone orders at 8:50 or serve people who walk in at 8:55. That’s false advertising and wastes people's time.

To anyone considering eating here close to closing time: don’t bother. Unless you’re okay being turned away while the sign still says “OPEN.”

This diner either needs to:

Adjust their hours, or

Actually honor them.

Until then, 1 star for the misleading practice and the lack of...

First I want to start out by saying I was thrilled when we saw that there was a diner in this previous location that had been occupied by another restaurant. We both ordered from the "specials" board. I ordered beef tips with noodles and it came with soup or salad and 2 sides. I was disappointed with the cream of broccoli soup as it was highly seasoned with garlic. My partner had cream of tomato soup ,which was thick and had a rich tomato taste. He had Meat Lasagna which was full of meat, full of cheese and a generous portion. Crispy, golden brown french fries. Unfortunately , what I had, which was the beef tips over noodles was disappointing as it was strongly seasoned with some kind of pepper. However, they were very accommodating and I ordered Eggs Benedict with home fries. Excellent choice...sauce was delicious and home fries cooked perfectly. Gaby, our server, was friendly and very efficient and never once questioned my need to replace my order. The owner came to my table to make sure that what I was ordering would work for me. Extensive menu, open 7 days a week and they serve breakfast all day. Welcome to the area and thanks again for accommodating my needs.

I can sum up this place in one word, meh. It'll neither knock your socks off or offend, a very standard, by the numbers kind of diner. I can usually rely on diner fries to lean on the better side but again, very middle of the road. Same with the Monte Cristo that I had, always have to dock a plac for not putting on some powdered sugar. Handicap parking was also pretty lackluster, not sure if they assume people will also use the hotel parking next door but would it kill them to offer more than one handicap spot with van accessibility? Our server seemed to be pretty spacy. Every time we talked to her she wouldn't even look at us, rather she would look over us at the other tables around us. Please take the moment to actually pay attention to the customer in front of you. Over all you can do much better. Not some place that you'll hate but food is bland, appearance is cut and paste, and service is sad. With so many diners in the area this place just doesn't cut it.
