Rockledge Grille — Restaurant in West Hartford

My son just got married in Hartford two days ago (May 24th). My husband and I hosted the rehearsal dinner at Rockledge the night before and from all accounts, The “night before” rehearsal celebration hit it out of the park to start the weekend festivities! The venue is perfect for an intimate evening event! It is a beautiful blend of both sophistication and ease! We were able to bring in our own decor, so we could truly match the tone that the couple envisioned for their wedding weekend. The views overlooking the golf course, provided a picturesque backdrop! We even had ample space to play an interactive game with the couple and rehearsal dinner guests. The food was so good and definitely wedding caliber! We started the evening with a pretty and generously portioned charcuterie board along with wine and beer. We selected three entrées, including salmon, chicken, and pork roast Plus all the sides and fixings! The coordinator Alli was an absolute love to plan with in the months leading up to the event. She absolutely comports herself with on-point professionalism, as well as patience and understanding! That is so important in the hospitality industry, particularly with such important family events. The entire staff lives up to that as well. We are so thankful to Rockledge for hitting exactly the right note to begin a beautiful and most memorable wedding weekend for our son and his new bride! Another event occasion, so I can't describe regular dinner service or the golf course. The view from the upper level outer patio was very scenic in the midst of a city center location.

In terms of space where speakers need to be center stage, it didn't work so well. People who had been sitting outside, in the bar, or in other spaces came in to hear the people presenting, but like at a general admission concert, only the people in the front could see anyone.

For smaller groups, this space is probably fine. Our event had around one hundred in attendance. The party tray food was fair. There is a good sized bar for anyone who just wants to relax with a drink. Ample parking. Th Grille is open...

This has been a number of restaurants over the past several decades, the current rockledge grill Is arguably the best. The pricing is reasonable, the service is very good The portion size is large without being excessive, and the food itself tastes freshly made. We were very happy with our appetizers and entrees. There are several different areas of the restaurant, you can dine inside, or at the bar area, or at a very nice deck for the warmer seasons, with a nice view of the course.
