Danny's Kitchen + Bar — Restaurant in West Lakeland Township

First time customers: Just had a terrible experience last night. First, I put in the reservation outside seating would be most preferred. Once the hostess approached us – she asked if inside was OK even though she knew I had reservation. It was a beautiful night and everyone wanted to outside...there was a table available.

Then, once we were seated outside we watch the clock and it was 20 minutes before my husband stood up to go tell the hostess that no one had acknowledged us at our table or provided water etc. Once the server came to our table another five minutes later he did provide water though didn’t apologize for the delay, introduce himself, or let us know what the night specials were food or drink wise.

I ordered a raspberry martini and he said, “We don’t have that.” I said do you have martinis? His reply was yes and I said you probably have something to make a raspberry martini?? and he said he would check. My husband ordered a draft beer. 10 minutes or so later he returned with our drinks.

The “raspberry martini” was clear and simply raspberry vodka shaken. At this time our server gave us a drink menu that had several other drinks that would have been very similar to what I was trying to get order in my raspberry martini. If only he would’ve suggested that earlier.

All in all it was very frustrating start to our date night we ended up leaving with full drinks because the service was incredibly slow and our server didn’t care to make our experience enjoyable. We will not be...

I have been to this restaurant a few times. The positives: nice atmosphere, good service and hot food. The negatives: we were there last weekend and this is the last time. The walleye was the worst I have ever had. (29.00!) So fishy it was hardly edible and I regret not sending it back. I tasted the food our other guests had and EVERYTHING is over salted. The wild rice soup was so salty it too was too was inedible. The ribs were so over salted as well as the bed of mashed potato’s it was served on. Why so much salt on everything! Lastly, THE FLIES. We had no less than 3 flies annoying us all through the meal. We finally asked for a menu to use as a fly swatter. So many great restaurants to eat at in the area, we will cross this one...

We visited Danny's Bar and Grill last night for the first time and LOVED it! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, so we wanted to dine someplace nice.The atmosphere, our server (Paige), and the food were great! The prices were in the ballpark for what we ordered. The menu has a good selection to choose from and everything is made from scratch right there. Sad that is was our servers last night there. She was a long time employee who is moving on to what she's gone to school for. She offered wonderful suggestions, was so pleasant and engaging with us and treated us very special. We will definitely be back! Sorry Paige won't be there, but everyone else we encountered seemed equally...
