NO WAY THESE 4 & 5 star reviews are legit.
ice cream is good but AGAIN, how do you mess it up. Service is AWFUL! I get it, it's young kids and it's a job at Dairy Queen but for Gods sake, PLEASE, THANK YOU. Is it THAT much effort? We go there (well, used to), twice a month as the kids love blizzards. The last time, which is the LAST TIME, was the same old experience. "What can I get you?", I place my order. "Drive around". "It's $22.50". I present my card and pay. Ice cream thrust at my with no words and right side up. I say thank you, and am looked at like I'm crazy. Window closes since they were doing ME a favor! Oh, AND the order was WRONG! Vanilla instead of chocolate.
I had enough so I wrote DQ corporate. They replied that is was being looked into. I actually got a call from the owner and NOW I know why the service is so pathetic. This guy literally couldn't have cared ANY less about his staff and his store. THIS was his response "I'm sorry about your experience and this is not an excuse but we try to keep conversation short at the drive through to keep things moving". I wasn't asking if anyone saw the Yankees game or what they thought of the movie "IT" I just want a "please" and a "thank you". Then, the absolute BEST response from a business owner I could imagine. "Come back and tell them who you are and well give you the three free blizzards" YUP, I'll be sure to do that.
"Hi. I'm the guy who complained about your piss poor attitudes. I'll take three chocolate and SPIT blizzards with some stuff scrapped off the floor please"
Three stars for this place is WAY too nice of an average. I'll take my money somewhere else.
There is no way the reviews here differ so greatly from YELP other than Googles lax vetting process. These people must know the owner. Can't blame him for trying!
BTW, I'm a business owner so, yeah. This ISN'T how things...
Read moreWHAT AN ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT....I, myself, stopped going to DQ yrs ago bc of their ridiculously high price increase in conjunction with the drastically decreased portions....but the hubby wanted a treat, soooo......DQ it was....to my dismay, even this particular one (LOCATED AT West Milford, NJ via Route 23 Northbound....on the right side shortly after the "S turns"....we ordered 2 items: • #1. A LARGE Hot fudge Sundae with wet walnuts, whipped cream & rainbow sprinkles. •#2. A Large Chololate Blizzard with Resee's Cups & Twix ● TOTAL COST=$12+change!!! For starters: the sundae (more like a day without the sun) lacked whipped cream not to mention, it was smaller then my toddlers sippy cup a d half of the other ingredients My blizzard was SLAMMIN! but def could have been maybe 15-20oz larger for the cost, plus I was beyond tired after this excursion not to mention disappointed, that I went to bed (blizzard in hand ) & of course dropped most of it on the darn floor, after all that.....smh.....looking back now, at the employees along with the price increase, I find my self wondering why I would go to ANY snack shack that has only disgruntled, overweight employees & expect anything more.....next time y'all, ice cream treats are on me, free of charge, so give this rating & review your feedback &...
Read moreI had never been to a Dairy Queen before but I had heard that they had some pretty good food there so I had to check it out. I ordered a burger and fries. It took longer than most places for my order to be ready, but the food turned out to be pretty decent (for a fast food joint). I probably should have ordered a blizzard which is what most people recommend, but I wasn't in the mood for ice cream. For those of you who don't know what a blizzard is... it's basically your choice of chocolate candy or candy bar (butterfinger, m&ms, etc.) blended with vanilla icecream. People are crazy about them. Several days after visiting this DQ, I stopped at another DQ located next to a gas station somewhere near Barstow and ordered a Blizzard there. I must say it was pretty tasty and refreshing in the hundred...
