Jessie's Kettle — Restaurant in West Milford

I have been coming here for years. After my experience yesterday, I probably will never return. First off the music is so ridiculously loud and will just stop playing of the bartender decides they don’t like that song. Each song that plays starts off way louder, enough to startle the regulars. The bartender was way more interested in talking to regulars or friends and ignored me. I had to walk over to her to place my order and explain that I was on my lunch break so I had a time crunch. Food was decent. Burger could use seasoning. Like any. I was never asked if everything came out on and never offered to refill my soda. She walked by several times never making eye contact except for when she, happily, refilled regulars beers. $14 for a non season burger, one soda, and FOUR “seasoned” which were four waffle fries.

This place used to be so much better. I will mourn not having their prime dip sandwich, which was phenomenal last time, but with that lackluster uncaring service, I will not come back. Plenty of other eateries in town that I would rather spend my time...

This place looks really cute and a good place to sit and have a sandwich and enjoy the outdoors a little bit but definitely not for me.

Getting a bagel that wasn't even toasted with cream cheese took forever because they have no idea what's going on with their orders and I've never seen someone so slowly put an order into a POS.

Taste. It was kind of similar to Panera or Dunkin so not Jersey New York style.

There was a good seating area and the baked goods were really delicious but I also didn't really want to deal with the 9000 references to Republicans and conservatives and The thin Blue line etcetera

You're in a cult. We get it. You don't have to advertise it. You have the right to present your business however you want and I have the right to not stare at propaganda.

But in all seriousness, the food was just sort of bland and it took way too long to get a pretty simple thing when there was no line so definitely would not...

Well, 30 plus years of being a customer has been taxed of late. Today was the last. Ordered an easy one. 2 eggs over easy, taylor ham, home fries no toast. 15 minutes later it is served. Eggs burned, taylor not even cooked and deep fried potatoes,(not home fries) were scalding. Not edible, girls at counter said they would tell the cook. Then I got charged nearly $9.00 for my troubles. Not a good customer service call as my contribution annually are as follows. Coffee,$520.00, breakfast and bagels, easily $500.00 annually. Lunch sandwiches, visits with grandkids, easily another $500.00. Bar and packaged goods, don't sit often but it's a C note before tips on every visit. And I tip generously so do the...
