So, I took my aunt there for her birthday. It was our first and last time. We walked in an no one greeter us, I went to where the bar was and asked if we seat ourselves. The girl there said yes. We found the cleanest looking table since the other open ones had dishes. Our waitress walked up and said what do you want to drink. No, hey how ya doin. No offer to wipe down the table where crumbs and water from the previous person and etc were. Then she places our menus in the yuckiness we order out drinks and wait about 10 minutes. Meanwhile a table diagonally across from us with familiarity with our waitress receives her full attention. Eventually we get our drink and order our meal. She continually goes back to the other table and passes by us, never asking if we want a refill or anything. Someone else brings our food and walks away. I didn't get silverware, ketchup for fries or napkins (ordered a burger) had to wait for our waitress to come back. Keep in mind this is a small place and for maybe 12 tables, about 5 were occupied. Meanwhile the same waitress is continually going back and forth to bring things to the table diagonal to us. She stops and chats, walks past us with nothing to say or check on how our meal is. I eventually flag her down, and get the napkins, ketchup and knife to cut my burger. Burger was decent, Fries were meh. Aunt felt ok with her meal. I ran out of water and watched as the waitress continues to check on the other table. Didn't bother flagging her down for a refill since she didn't want to check on us. I wanted to order the bread pudding to try but since it took me 20 minutes of waiting, needing a box, a refill, our check and the bread pudding I was like nevermind. We are leaving. No attention for 20 for minutes. That doesn't include the time it took us to eat our meal and etc. Really dissapointed. I went to the front register and waited 5 minutes for someone to ring me out. Had we actually had a waitress efficiently doing her job it wouldn't have been a problem. I feel like we wasted most of our time just being waiting on her. Had she checked on us intermittently instead of how things happened I wouldn't care if she were hanging out with/helping the other table. But walking past us multiple times and not checking to see if we need anything is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to flag her down for simple things. Yeah, I could've raised Cain and been jerk but that's not my style. I was giving her the opportunity to do right. One fellow came in alone and went to a table. After a while of no service he walked out....
Read moreThe food was great. The wife and I got the Lakeside Extreme pizza and wings in a classic buffalo sauce, and they were really good. I like a brick oven pizza more, personally, but I gotta say it was damn good, tasted great, and the wings were simple, but done to perfection. Another member of our party got the bang bang shrimp and raved so much about it, I was almost willing to risk deformity due to a shellfish allergy. My mother in law got the fried pork chops smothered in onions and gravy; loved it and still hasn't shut up about it. According to her, it was the best she's ever had. The service was exceptional. Our server was a young guy with brown hair and a beard; (sorry guy- I know you told us, but I didn't catch your name) Andre? Andrew maybe? I don't know, but he and the girls working there were on point. He had a good, quick sense of humor, and was so patient, even answering all my mother in laws completely unnecessary questions about the menu when she already knew what she was going to get. The place was packed out, but those folks moved fast and efficiently. Our drinks never went empty, and the food came out quick and hot. The atmosphere was really good too. In all honesty, the patio and views of the lake do a lot of the heavy lifting, but inside they have one of those TouchTunes jukeboxes, and I don't know if it's like this every evening, but while we were there, almost the entire room was singing along at one point, so I know we weren't the only ones having a great time. Final thought: I didn't expect much going into this little diner in the woods next to a lake and a baitshop, but I was pleasantly surprised. Well done, folks! Thank you again and we'll...
Read moreI haven't had a chance to eat here, but the food looked good from what I could see.
My review is for the bar at night haha! So - they do karaoke on Friday nights. There's an outside area right on the water and it's a nice spot. The first night there, the atmosphere was pretty laid back and the crowd was there to have fun for sure. The DJ's name is Dudley and he's really cool. Very nice when putting in song requests, and the equipment is good. He also plays dance music in between to keep the crowd going. Good vibes and a nice bar.
This past night they did karaoke inside (and I was so grateful because it's been hot). Nice dance floor area right next to the bar. The bartenders are nice and try their best to keep up with the patrons!
I enjoy the relaxed vibe and that I can escape into my corner when I need to get away from the crowd lol. I highly recommend if you're into a country-ish, hole in the wall...
