Edit for second dining experience: Portion sizes were smaller, tikka masala sauce was a bit oily, and they informed us well after placing our order that the naan ‘machine’ was broken and they would substitute another Indian bread in its place. They brought a basket of Paratha instead that was obviously the frozen premade kind and was so oily we couldn’t eat much of it. We were still charged for naan. Additionally, we were only given one single bowl of rice to share between two entree orders and when the rice ran out we were not offered any more.
Total lunch meal cost was $60 for two adults: vegetarian food. A bit pricy for the Pottstown area.
First review: What a dream come true to have a restaurant like this in Pottstown! We dined here tonight, and both the portion sizes and flavors were absolutely outstanding. The Tikka Masala was some of the best I've had in the past decade—truly exceptional! As someone who considers Indian cuisine their favorite, I’ve had the pleasure of dining at nearly 100 different Indian restaurants across multiple states and countries, and only a handful of upscale establishments in major cities have exceeded this level of quality. The food was rich, flavorful, and genuinely satisfying. The portions were so generous that we were able to take home enough for another full meal, which is always a bonus. I’m already looking forward to becoming a regular patron here for years to come....
Read moreToday my palate has tasted such exquisite Indian food. We order few things off the menu. First, we had boneless chicken dum biryani it’s chicken that’s cooked in rice that is very spicy and flavored with different spices. The rice itself was very fluffy. Second, thing I ordered was chicken tikka masala very similar plate to butter chicken just catered more to Americans more tomato is added. As far as taste was amazing especially the white rice it came with. Rice wasn’t dull had a very fresh cooked salted taste. Third, we ordered chicken tikka kebab, and this came out roasting hot. This chicken cuisine was cooked thoroughly remained moist chicken was not dried out. This exceeded my expectations. Now, I will be returning often. We no longer have to drive to limerick anymore for Indian food. Side note however seating is limited and area is smaller compared to other Indian restaurants. This place will hopefully be busy so expect a wait time. Portions are very...
Read moreAs the only Indian restaurant in town, House of Biryani & Kabob has the unique task of satisfying Pottstown's cravings for authentic Indian cuisine. And let me tell you, they're doing a biryani good job!
I decided to dive into their food and ordered the Navratan Korma. Now, I like my food with a little kick, and this korma was a spicy symphony of flavors. The perfect balance of heat and creaminess made it a truly satisfying dish.
The staff was nice and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a taste of India right in your backyard, House of Biryani & Kabob is the...
