My wife and i wanted to just go for a long ride, so we headed toward Rutland Vermont. When we were on route 4 and approaching exit 6, i was admiring the little town down.in the valley and thought, i bet there a hidden gem that has awesome food. We got almost to Ludlo and i said to my wife, lets get dinner, so we checked out one place and i wasn't impressed with the menu. I asked her to google west rutland restaraunts and Sweet Carolines was the first that popped up and was 4.5 stars. I said lets head there and check it out and we were not dissapointed. The menu will accomidate all and the place was full. The lady told us she could seat us and probably wouldnt get served our meal for a while due to a 12 top and a 10 top that had just placed their order. We werent in a hurry so we said, thats fine. We were in and out within an hour and the portion is more then most can eat and the flavors were spot on and i figured my scallops on my seafood dish were going to be bay scallops. NOPE!, They were full size and cooked perfect, we will be making more trips and taking friends and family. Nice atmosphere and actually felt like we were eating with family and everyone was enjoying their food and having a great time. Strangers making other strangers feel welcome, its amazing that places like this still exist. Try it if you get a chance because you definitely will not be disappointed. Sorry about the novel but it is definitely worth...

Then came dinner: chicken parmigiana. The plate was more like a platter of deliciousness. I struggled to eat all the food. I cannot tell you how good this restaurant was and encourage anyone in Rutland to eat at this restaurant. It is truly a great restaurant if you like old...

To be fair, it was the lunch menu. And to be fair, it could have been an off day. But my burger was wrong, it lacked flavor, and the service was inattentive. Even my date complained about it later, and it was his choice of restaurants.
I hate giving negative reviews, but I just can't get...
