Being back in New England, I was starving for a diner breakfast. Three or four came up as a suggestion on Google, but we picked a little George’s and boy were we glad we did. Little George’s has been in business for a good while and they have their share of regulars. Be careful not to bump into the large metal pig in the lobby - symbolizes that their swine is truly divine. Be prepared to be patient as the tables are a few and you may have to sit at the counter or wait your turn for a table. The customers were friendly and the staff was as well. After ordering a hot coffee and a hot tea, we said about to read the menu. Looking around at all the amazing dishes being served to others, we couldn’t make up our minds. So, I asked the waitress that look like she’d been working there for a while. She suggested ‘the house special’ with ham of course. She told me it came with coffee and the price was around $12. I chose two weeks over medium, home fries, rye toast, and of course ham. The portion was gigantic. The ham slice could feed a family of three. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were out of this world. The coffee is delicious. I ate until I was full and there was still 2/3 of the ham left and half the potatoes. Check out my picture. This is the place to go when you’re in the Springfield, West Springfield, Holyoke, area.

This place is incredible! Once you realize where it is you will see it every time you pass, until then you don't know what you are missing! When you get ham with your breakfast, it looks like breakfast on a farm-real hunks of ham, not little deli slices. Diner atmosphere with retro decorations. This eclectic restaurant is a delicious find! Be sure to ask about the history, I learned on Friday that the original building could only seat 19 people, back when many things cost a dollar or less. The current owner worked under one of his current employees, who also is related to the original "George".

Best breakfast I've had in years. The Pancakes are bigger than your head. The bacon is friggin divine. The service is excellent. We were there pretty early like 730am and it seemed like we had just beat the rush because come 8am there was a line at the door. The dining room doesn't hold many, but Oh Lordt! That food is worth the wait! & all the servings are plentiful. I'll be back, it's a shame I didn't try the ham yet. I've regretted it since I left.

Tried once, won't return. Went for a late lunch about 2pm, place was still pretty full. We were seated in a corner, so I thought it'd be nice and quiet. Clearly we were in the regulars section. Our waitress was LOUD and would talk back and forth across her tables to various customers in her section, very personal conversations too. She had a habit of coming to our table, beginning with taking drink orders, asking us what we'd like, then turning around to talk to a "regular" instead of letting us answer. It took us 25min to get our food orders onto her order pad, another 20 to arrive. We needed to leave by 3, which would have been adequate time at any other diner, but my food was literally so scalding hot it melted some of the Styrofoam to go container. When I eventually did get to return to my food hours later, it really had no flavor to it, I have had better sauce from a cheap jar. My boy's weren't able to say anything special about their orders either. Truly don't understand why this place is...

The only reason I put 1 star on service is just for the record everyone but 1 person is 20 stars+ but that 1 person looks at me and treat's me like I'm not wanted there. I can't say racist because I don't think that person is nowhere near that but one gets that first vibe of embarrassment because it's in front of everyone who are the friendliest people you can ask for to dine next to including the customers but that 1 person doesn't even acknowledge the fact that I'm standing in the entrance waiting to be seated or just the fact that I don't even sit anymore and get it to go but it's a place that I would refer to on a blink of an eye.. keep up the outstanding work that I wouldn't change it for the world and I'm from the Bronx N.Y. and I been here for 17 years and it's the only place I would think about eating at/from before any other place.(besides the 1 person.. but I'm sure the person doesn't mean any harm to anyone).. and the shakes are extremely extraordinary....
