I had this place on my Cape Cod bucket list specifically because I read somewhere Larry David frequents it (sorry, Larry). Now I know why! It was absolutely delicious and amazing start to finish. The drinks, food, service, ambiance-all perfect! I really appreciated the manager squeezing us in since we did not have reservations (make reservations)! It was my favorite meal on my Cape Cod and Islands adventure!

This is a solid restaurant with good food. The generous pour of wine and great atmosphere is something to be repeated. Young toddlers played outside and older adults chatted with friends. The food was fresh and the olive oil cake brought back great memories.

Really, really good overall. Impressive wine menu. Food menu is concise, maybe 15 items. The vibe is cozy and stately. The outside had some cool lights and decorated for fall. We arrived early and ordered a cocktail and sat outside while we waited

This is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. My girlfriend and I were celebrating her birthday and we tried multiple dishes on the menu.

Firstly, it may be out of the way from the main cities but it’s 100% worth the trip. Everything is farm to table, laid-back, casual atmosphere, and a very cool restaurant design. There was also a very professional and kind wait staff.

Now, the best part, the food. We got the mussels, burrata and the polenta to start - every dish was exquisite in its own way. Personally, I never pick any of those dishes on a menu because it’s not what I typically like, and I loved them all.

For entrees, she had the halibut (a special at the time), and I had the wagyu burger with brie cheese, bacon, balsamic onions, and buttermilk aioli on the side. This is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. So flavorful. Her halibut was also delicious.

We bought about 8 of their candy bars to take home. You can only buy them from the restaurant and one grocery store on the island.

Such a great place! Fine dining without the stuffiness of fine dining. The fact that they carefully select their food also is amazing.

Best money I spent in all of Martha’s Vineyard and I’d do it...

The food is excellent! Hangar steak, swordfish, end of summer veg, shortrib, warm salad. Affogato and the apple dish were excellent meal enders. The downside is the service - the hostess dipped our menus in the table and walked away before we even had a chance to sit down. The restaurant is extremely dark (everyone is using phone flashlights to read the menu). We had a member of our party with a vision impairment and I kindly asked the hostess if we could possibly be moved to one of the multiple tables on the window because of this (it was an early seating), and she didn’t even try to make it work. The tables sat empty for most of the time we were there. The waiter seemed nice but never asked how the food was, weather I wanted another drink, etc. no one thanked us as we paid and left. A little more care in the front of the house would do wonders. Kitchen is 5 stars. I would suggest table lights that cast the light down - would allow diners to see their menu AND the food (which is beautiful when you shine your flashlight in it) while still maintaining the ambiance. We improvised by setting our phones atop wine glasses and casting a light down on the table. Like that there wasn’t loud...

Looking forward to returning for another memorable dinner at a favorite restaurant, we made a reservation four months ahead of time. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told that our table would be ready on time. A half hour later we were told that our table was almost ready; in the meantime two other parties came in and were seated ahead of us. Finally seated about 40 minutes late, we waited for water and a drink for another 10 minutes. The waiter was indifferent to our presence, not explaining any of the entrees; starter and salad were summarily dumped on the table at the same time; same experience with dessert- with coffee served after we were finished. No one asked if our meals were acceptable; plates sat on the table until we requested that they be cleared. That said, the food was absolutely incredible- perfect. But be prepared for a less than sterling service and a more that substantial cost. Disappointing at best, and won't be...
