The Queen Beanery Coffeehouse — Restaurant in West Union

Dared to detour to The Queen Beanery while on a motorcycle trip, all thanks to a tempting Google listing. Ordered their black coffee and a blueberry muffin—revolutionary, really. The coffee was as black and bold as the tire marks I left in their parking lot, and the muffin? Let’s just say it was brimming with enough blueberries to start its own farm.

The place oozes a "too cool for school" vibe, ideal for deep philosophical debates or escaping the existential dread of your inbox. It’s the kind of spot where you’re expected to unwind more than actually accomplish anything.

If you ever feel the urge to be overwhelmingly welcomed while mildly caffeinated, this is your sanctuary. Just don’t expect to be productive here unless you count people-watching as a task.

If you have never stopped in the place, you are missing a wonderful good down to earth homie feeling in a beautiful historical house that makes everyone feel welcome. IM not even a coffee drinker but that's how awesome the place is. They have more than just coffee. The breakfast and lunches they serve are great and very affordable and if your having one of those hectic days,your not anymore when your sitting in this place. Quaint little shop set up in an old remolded farm house with indoor and outdoor seating. The coffee selection is excellent, from several flavors of drip coffee as well as the "coffee shop" essentials: espresso, cappuccino, latte and frappe in just about every flavor. Service was friendly and fast. The drive is long but nice and relaxing. Don't let that fool you, they are not unknown and on weekends you might find a wait, but they work quick and keep the traffic moving.
