Well, theyâve really done it this time! They killed the brisket, they killed the stuffed pepper, they killed the fries for gods sake. I looked at my girlfriend as she looked at me in utter disbelief. Everything everyone came there to eat for is gone.
Taco Tuesday - they said âWell, to Hell with that.â Burger specials - they said âWell to Hell with that too.â
Smoked brisket went up in smoke, oh and they want you to drink more now? So, you mean to tell me that theyâre changing their business model from a barbecue place that you can have a gun date at, into a wing spot where one gets drunk and is around a building full of firearms? You people donât seem to know or are at least not practicing firearm safety if you really need the Ales part of this to be so incorporated, and/or at the very least, are brazenly detached from what your customers wanted versus what youâre ultimately taking away - and this all culminates into a laughable if not wholly embarrassing predicament.
It feels bad to write about this restaurant like this. I had to change my old one from 3 years ago, which was an easy 5 stars when the food was fresh. These changes unequivocally exude an ignorance and greed to the people you once served which cannot be healed.
Why would one go out of city limits to eat overpriced food that has been demoted in quality by every reviewable metric? Sure letâs get the whole family out to Bombshellâs for some delicious barbec⌠I mean.. some delicious turkey legs.. but getting drunk up in da minivan and heading on down 5th street hill seemed like a better place to eat for the community to whoever owns Bombshells. That once succulent brisket French dip - đ
That old saying, âif it ainât broke, donât fix it,â unfortunately seems to of flown straight over the...
Read moreIf you have never tried this place then you are totally missing out I went today on the request of other people and not being familiar with the product had multiple questions for the ladies at the counter they were patient with me as I asked multiple questions and was happy to give me suggestions. Thank you ladies for the suggestions, they were spot on and words cant describe how delicious the food was To start, I got a full rack of ribs that were so tender that a 6 month old baby with no teeth could eat them and never have an issue. The potato salad was tasty and my mom ate the whole portion of Cole slaw and stated I should have gotten her more .that alone is an A1 recommendation as she is a totally picky eater I got myself the brisket as I have never had this treasure before. OUTRAGEOUS is what this treasure was. Tender and falling apart from the first bite I took.YUMMY!!! My sides was of course mac n cheese which beats even my homemade version, and I also wish I had a tub full of it to eat even now lol The baked beans had some pulled pork inside and we fought over who would get that which I can tell you next time I go will be my next purchase. The beans themselves were tangy and sticky the way baked beans are meant to taste. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and beyond pleased with my experience. Again if you have never ventured here, dont wait any longer. Go in or carry out and enjoy my newest guilty pleasure...
Read moreI want to start this by saying I have really hard standards for bbq. I recommend the food overall, especially for the novelty and the lack of bbq food in general.
I got the sampler with ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Mac and cheese Potatoe salad Fried green tomatoes
Ribs 4/5 well seasoned. Juicy. Only thing keeping them from a 5 is they completely fall off the bone snd that's more of preference.
Pulled pork 2.5/5 decent flavor, but way to mushy though preferred over dry pulled pork. I'm disappointed in only having sweet baby rays for bbq sauce.
Brisket 1/5 I thought it was pork it was so dense. Was wet but tasted dry as if it wasn't related properly, and they just threw the slices in broth. I was very upset.
Mac and cheese 5/5 white cheddar, I believe.
Potatoe Salad. 5/5 second best I've ever had besides Mel's diner in Tennessee.
Fried green tomatoes. 4/5 perfectly breaded and cooked. Lacking seasoning or it would be 5/5. Good with bomb sauce.
Overall, I recommend it for the ribs sides and novelty alone. I'd like to give it another shot as I was dissatisfied...
