I like to give detailed reviews when first trying a place. I think it helps people when wondering what they should try, but keep in mind that these are my tastebuds and my opinions.
I want to first start off by saying that the best part of our experience was our waitress Chris? Kris? Sorry about the spelling. She's an absolute sweetheart and very good at her job. Due to her personality alone it led me to order more things off of the menu to taste test. So here it goes....
Smash burger- good, but they weren't smash burgers, just regular burgers not smashed.
Fries were good and fresh.
Ranch dressing was good I would rate it 3/5 and it is homemade.
Homemade chips were good dipped in the ranch.
Salads are large, but I don't care for spring mix so it wasn't for me.
Potato salad had a good flavor it had bacon in it, but there were several hard potatoes that were undercooked and crunchy so that was disappointing.
Pasta salad is good
Cole slaw ehhh no flavor
Macaroni salad was flavorless very disappointing.
Mac n cheese is a white cheese sauce and it was ok.
All of these sides are homemade.
Ice cream next door pretty pricey- $1 for the cake cone and $3 per scoop of ice cream that isn't packed into the cone so the cone is empty inside. I got a piece of the lemon blueberry cake and it was good.
All in all I would rate my experience a 5/10. Would probably go up depending on who made the sides, etc. it's definitely worth trying. They're very clean. I'll try something different next time.
I paid almost $39 before tip for the grilled cheese, fries, salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, cole slaw and Mac n cheese and ranch dressings.
I paid almost $15 for two regular cake cones with one scoop of ice cream on top of them and a slice of lemon...
Read moreFirst my co workers and I go to this location MULTIPLE times a month. We recommend this location to anyone in the area. After today’s visit we will not be going back. We ordered the wings (which are typically amazing) but they were off. One of my drums were even pinkish on the inside. We brought the concern to our waitress with no assistance. Not even an offer to remake the wings. None of our concerns were addressed. We were given the check at the beginning of the meal. When I took the wings to the register to have them removed there was an “inspection” of the wings. I get that sometimes people try to get free food but I blatantly brought the issue to the waitress with no assistance and the wings were very much in the basket. No one was able to remove the wings because a manager wasn’t present. Calls had to be made in order to get “numbers” to have them removed. The worse part out of all of this is that although my wings were refunded my co worker (which we all talked to them about the wings) the STILL wouldn’t refund my coworkers wings and gave attitude because someone would have to put in the numbers. I get it sucks to lose out on something but our company comes in at least once a week. The least this place could do is address the issue without attitude or just blatantly...
Read moreWhile on the way to see the Grandview, it was only right to stop by the diner with the same name for a quick lunch before our hike. And pleasantly, we enjoyed ourselves here.
The Food: Food was great! I went with a cup of chili as an appetizer and a Cheeseburger with chips as my main entree. The cup of chili was pretty good, great ratio between meat and beans. The burger was cooked perfectly as well, tender and juicy with some fresh toppings.
The Service: Service was amazing! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Orders were brought out in a timely manner and there were frequent table check ups as well!
The Atmosphere: The diner was nice, very clean on the inside and there was a decent amount of seating available. The diner is connected to the ice cream shop next door as well, so there is also additional seating there.
Overall, a 5/5! Absolutely enjoyed our time here. The food was great and the service made it even better. I'd recommend stopping by and supporting this local,...
