Mickey's Pizza — Restaurant in West Virginia

I have been here for a year and a half now and I must say it’s the best pizza in the area however feeling for something different this evening I drove to Mickeys to talk to them and being from Philly i and was looking for a Philly cheesesteak. He told me that the steak hoagie was on flatbread. I asked him if they could just put it on a roll. He said they do not have rolls!? I said why do you offer a foot-long? What is that all about? He said we’re very busy. What is it that you would like to order? I said I would like a Philly cheesesteak but instead of putting it on the flatbread just put it on a roll that you don’t have? He said it’s just bread really? He said like I said we don’t have rolls!? He was very rude. I was so excited and so hungry I decided to try the cheesesteak and said go for it. Then he asked the cook and she said it would be “double!?” I said you wanna charge me $8.99 for a roll? He responded yes. I have done a lot of business over the last six months but tonight was my last night. Customer Service sucked!! If you want to grow people you have to adapt to customers and their suggestions. That’s how you grow!! Never order here again!! He was obviously too busy to care about what I wanted! ...

In June, I ordered jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, philly sub, a bacon cheeseburger and the cheesecake with both sauces. I was told right away it was busy and there would be a wait. I wanted it for my birthday dinner so I said I was fine with that- the food came 30 min earlier than expected and each item was fried crispy, the sandwiches were divine, everyone was eating with their eyes wide open LOL. Then I ordered again a few weeks after for me and my son, we got the meatball sub with chili cheese fries, and I got the turkey sub with onion rings. My son loved the meatball sub and said it was his favorite place we have eaten in Beckley since we moved here. Literally drove from Chicago, Illinois on a Pizza States tour to visit this place. Not sure what Amanda Thompson's one-star review is about, this place was simply incredible! An awesome, freshly made pizza was made for me by owner-operator Tim, who greeted me with a smile and enjoyable conversation! Yes, this place is only carry out/delivery, so you can plan on eating in your car or at home, but DAMN was this one hell of a good pizza place! Fresh ingredients, made just how I asked, and at a really reasonable price! I cannot speak highly enough about this place!
