Food: My recent visit to The Humming Bird left me thoroughly impressed. Opting for the classic burger and fries, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal. The burger exceeded my expectations with its fresh-cooked meat and perfectly toasted bun. The attention to detail was evident in every bite, from the thinly sliced pickles to the flavorful, freshly cut fries. It's rare to find such care put into every aspect of a meal, and I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted, and the attentive wait staff wasted no time in informing us of the specials. Throughout the meal, they checked on us regularly, ensuring that our needs were met and our drinks were promptly refilled. Atmosphere: What sets The Humming Bird apart is its unique location at the airport, providing diners with a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The atmosphere was lively and exciting, offering a perfect blend of great food and captivating views.    Read moreIf able to rate negative stars, I would. This is a locally owned restaurant that our office staff support regularly. We order lunch here several times monthly (actually twice this week) have had slight issues with rudeness each time but always overlooked it. After today's experience, myself as well as our office staff will not be back. We placed an order for pickup and requested our orders be separated. The girl on the phone was rude to my coworker when the order was placed, complaining of the fact that we requested separate orders. I arrived and was immediately treated coldly and at that time, I almost walked out. After the girl, named Olivia K (on our receipts), rang up our orders, she preceeded to tell me to "tell the girls in the office", that moving forward, there would be a surcharge of $2.00 per order for separing orders (we had 5 orders). I informed her no need to worry, that we would NOT be back. Like mentioned earlier, the environment here has always had a coldness from the staff but was always overlooked, not this time! She then proceeded to tell me, they don't have enough help/waitresses. I responded with the understanding that I know well the shortage issue, as I have worked through a pandemic the past 18 months, in Healthcare where hours are long and staffing shortages are the norm. In all honesty, the food is good, but I would rather eat dirt than be treated like I was today. Beyond that, the prices are already above the norm for our area. So, next time we'll go to Chef Paul's or Ellies Deli, where the staff always welcome us with warmth and a smile!! We are all doing the best we can but this...
Read moreI got breakfast here with family. The food was great. We tried the cupcakes and they were so good, the icing is different than most cupcakes in a good way. I donât have any pictures but the food looked very well put together. The only issues I have with this place is 1. the prices are a little high. Someone else payed for my order, if I paid I wouldnât be as inclined to return. The biggest thing that was very odd to me is that I ordered a soda I watched them pour from a small 16 oz soda bottle into a cup, and then didnât even give me the whole bottle, putting the rest in the fridge. They should either invest in a soda fountain so we can have free refills or at least just give me the whole bottle? It just felt cheap and dumb, especially to do it right in front of me and not even give me the whole bottle when I paid $3-4 for an unrefillable drink. I think if that could be fixed I would definitely come here more often. Other than that, the food was great and it was...
