I've been living about 3 or 4 miles from this place for the last 20 years and I have never been in there. I don't even have a reason why, except I rarely drive on the road it's located on. Well I drove by about a week ago, and decided to stop in and check it out. First off, the owner is a super nice guy. I had a lot of questions because I'd never been in there, and he answered them graciously, without frustration, and he was just totally accommodating. I spent a bunch of time walking around to see what they have because they have a lot of unique things you wouldn't normally find a deli and that was pretty cool all by itself. If you want a single onion, a single potato, a single tomato, a single green pepper, he'll sell it to you. Where else can you get that kind of service that isn't a supermarket?
I just ended up getting a half pound of very thinly sliced turkey breast, some American cheese, and some Swiss cheese sliced. Everything was sliced exactly like I had ordered it.
So, I went back to there second time today, October 15th 2019, and I got more sliced turkey, some sliced roast beef, and some more Swiss cheese. I mean there is nowhere else you can get some sliced deli meats and cheeses accept for the supermarket. Wawa you should do it for their first 30 or 40 years in business, and then cut that right out several years ago. There is no longer any sliced meat or cheese service available at Wawa.
So, I will continue to go to Deli Grove in the future because it's unique and convenient, and the owners are super nice people as well.
Just so you know they also have a full array of hoagies and sandwiches and all kinds of stuff that you would expect to get from a deli, just a little bit more that you wouldn't normally see, like being able to buy a single onion or a single tomato if you want. That's just...
Read moreThis place is like a throwback to the 70s. Look at the Radio Shack computer on the shelf along with any other knick-knack and do-dad. Want some condoms with your roast beef HOAGIE? Anyway I drove the 15 minutes each way from Exton to buy a Chicken Salad Hoagie and some sliced cheese and roast beef. Also needed some fresh veggies like tomatoes, onions and lettuce. Also needed bread, which they were out of and mayo. The only mayo they had were 1/2 gallon jars @ $15 a pop. So I didn't but any mayo. The owner's excuse was that mayo isn't a big seller. What??? At a deli??? Anyway I was the only one there at 11:30 am today (3/29/22) and it took forever for him and the woman forever to get my order together. Finally, I said that this place was like a throwback to the 70s, I also meant that the same Filth is. I would never eat...

Now after all these years I still stop in Time to time to visit with the owners. They are the sweetest folks you could ever hope to have running your neighborhood corner store! I'm on a job down the street and come almost every day for lunch now AND MY GOD THE PRICES HERE ARE INCREDIBLE! It's like back before inflation lol ! Basically any chance I get I stop in for a breakfast sandwich or burger and am always full and always know I'm being served in a very cleanly professional polite environment which I love !
