As we arrived, walked up the driveway and entered the rustic structure, we were transported back to a simpler time. Neighbors greeting neighbors. Trusting one another. People enjoying the simple pleasure of breakfast with pancakes, french toast, maple syrup, bacon, sausage. The fresh ingredients were evident in the great taste. We got a chance to chat with owner Steve who is very enthusiastic about maple sugaring and forest management. And of course no visit here would be complete without getting some maple syrup to take home! We'd go back in...

For 6 weeks a year, Steve's brings that end of winter feeling home with large community style tables, homemade syrup, pancakes, French toast and more. They love to share the syrup making process with anyone who listens and welcome everyone they can. No reservations, first come first serve, so get there 30-40 minutes before you want to eat, but people are generally respectful and move through quickly knowing everyone wants to eat the delicious food and learn about syrup. Definitely a must visit for the area if you're here in...

Many thanks to Julie for helping with our reservation! My dad and I were so happy to continue the family tradition of going to Steve’s during sugaring season. We haven’t been dining out much, but they have fantastic social distancing in place and it felt really safe and friendly. The breakfast was delicious as always (get the French toast) and we loaded up on dark maple syrup and candies in the shop before we left. Where else can you see the syrup being made as you eat it? See you folks next...

Come for the experience and the pancakes. Be sure to dress warm if it's a cold day. The new highly energy efficient system doesn't throw as much heat. The pancakes are delicious and the eggs are cooked perfect. Just eat the eggs first because they'll get cold quickly on a cold day.

Food is just okay. You may be better off cooking your pancakes and eggs at home. But the atmosphere made it worth the visit. Very cool to learn about the maple syrup making process! Take a peek into the wood oven fueling the whole operation if you get a chance!
