Barn & Thistle in Westmoreland NH is something out of a story book. It’s got that magical charm in a elegant, cozy country atmosphere. Serving breakfast, lunch and pastries. Grab a gift to go from the gift shop. This is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. #foryoupage #fyp #viral #country #foodie

There wasn’t one thing here we didn’t love. When first walking in we were greeted by the owner/hostess/waitress and she gave a very warm welcome. We were so taken aback by the scenery and feel of the building. The owner offered to show us before pictures of the building and then informed us that they got it done in ONLY 60 days! Extremely impressive! While we waited, after we ordered food, we checked out the gift shop. The merchandise within the gift shop was gorgeous and had good ambiance. We wanted to get one of everything! The food was up to par and came out in a timely manner. The plate presentation was beautiful and the coffee/tea station had lots of variety as well as being adorable and delicious. We appreciated the customer service/hospitality as we dined. The loaded home fries and pancakes are unforgettable! The bacon was crunchy/meaty and nowhere comparable too thin/flaky bacon! The brioche toast was spongy and delicious. We could help but leave with something from the bakery so we grabbed a slice of pumpkin cake to go. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience and we can’t wait to come back soon.

My wife and i were wandering NH and VT and totally stumbled upon this place on accident. It was perfect. Very cool atmosphere, neat little shop. Loved the, "grab yourself a coffee" vibe they have going on. And the food... I had Brioche French Toast, which I didn't want to brag about too much cuz my wife only got pancakes and I didn't want to have to trade. Turns out she was doing same as she said it was best pancake she ever ate. Side of potatoes was great. Even fruit garnish popped with flavor, in November! Owner was super cool, super nice, everything. Too bad I will be driving over an hour each way for breakfast now, I'm sure we will be back.

You are missing out if you don’t check out Barn and Thistle.

The food presented is at the highest level of excellence. This menu manifests in an exquisite execution of simple offerings.

The prices are unfair to the restaurant.

I’ve been twice on a ‘date’.

I had the BLT the first time.

Anyone can make a BLT. Not many can make this BLT. Sourced in the freshest bread, veggies and the best bacon I have ever had, good luck making this at home!!

I had breakfast the second time. The coffee they offer is delicious. I won’t bore you with details of my breakfast plate other than to point out the best pankcakes I have ever had. The portion was good and the price was much lower than I would expect of a place of this caliber. Real maple syrup in quantity!!

Put this hidden gem on your list of things to do on a date when passing through the hills of Southwestern New Hampshire/Vermont.

This restaurant is currently on the top of my list of eating establishments in the tri-state area.

Be aware that it is a very small/quaint place with limited seating and hours so plan your trip.

It is clear that the owner has very good energy and has been dumped love into this amazing place.

She gets the highest marks I can give.

Thank...

What a gem of a place! We loved everything about it, atmosphere, food, waitstaff... We'd read about the place in the ELF and were intrigued...we walked in and didn't know what to expect. Pure charm! The woman who greeted us was so friendly and welcoming, and pointed out the dining area, gift shop and gave us a few minutes to look at a menu (we weren't even sure if we wanted to eat yet, just taking it all in...). We commented later that we appreciated her introductions, as we've had experiences where we've walked into restaurants and no one is there to greet you. Food was excellent. Sat outside and took in the New England small town charm, it was really a wonderful...
