We have gone to the Bayside many times and always had the best food. Last night was not good. The so called "best" lobster roll around was all lobster legs and one claw in a small hot dog roll. We chose eggplant fries as we always do they were burnt and when you bit into them there was no vegetable because they were so over cooked. My husbands apple pie was good as usual my blueberry pie way too tart not enough sugar. Our waitress was rude and very "business" like and did not address the burn't eggplant fries except asking if we would like to take an order home as she was walking away from the table. The eggplant fries are a $1.75 up charge which we are always willing to pay because in the past they have been delicious. She could clearly see they were inedible but did not remove them from the bill. I noticed other patrons fried seafood to be very dark and over cooked perhaps needed to change the oil on a Saturday afternoon. I feel bad we have always loved going to your restaurant but hate to pay good money for sub par food and rude staff. Maybe just an off day for your business but I had to pay for it. I am a 20-25% tipper but left $10 for a $90 bill I can't see not tipping because your staff is working but no way was our server even...
Read moreLiterally threw up from the fried scallops 4 hours after eating. Terribly greasy, rubbery, bland and the tartar sauce was just diced pickles.
Update 6/26: Called restaurant today to ask about getting the food comped. Hostess who answered the phone was very pleasant. The manager I spoke with however was a different story. I was met with frustration and anger that she had to deal with a customer who was ill. I was not angry with the restaurant, things happen and I understand. I would've been happy with an "I'm sorry" and the food being taken off the bill. Instead, I was told that I could not have gotten food poisoning because "everyone would've had to have gotten sick" (a simple google search tells you that that's not true) and that she "doesn't buy scallops off the street." After telling her I had only had one other thing to eat that morning, she insinuated that I have a shellfish allergy (I don't, I eat shellfish all the time), or that I had been drinking (I'm underage and I only had water), before telling me some personal stories about friends who have had "things not sit well in their stomachs" and how she didn't call restaurant management. Truly one of the RUDEST interactions I've ever had. AVOID THIS PLACE AND THEIR...
Read moreTo start off I thought this place was going to be a great new try. My wife and I always search for new places to try together. We started off sharing the calamari and seafood chowder. We enjoyed both appetizers and was exciting for our entreeâs. My wife ordered the lobster roll and myself the fish and chips. I did not enjoy the fish and chips. I took two bites and wanted to throw up. It was so watery like it was frozen fish. I told my waitress that I didnât enjoy the meal and would like to order something else. I ordered a burger waited for that and really didnât enjoy that either. I was then extremely surprised and mad that later I was charged for the fish and chip when I didnât enjoy the meal nor did I eat it. It made me mad that my waitress didnât even ask me what the issue was offer up a conversation with a manager nothing. I believe this place is extremely overpriced for low quality seafood. The burger I then ordered was dry but I was starving at that point and just ate it. My wife also didnât care too much for her lobster roll. My waitress was a very nice young lady but needs to be trained on how to deal with an issue when it comes to a customer not enjoying a meal. Hope in the future they can improve on...
