Our eagerness to begin the ice cream eating bonanza brought on an ambitious order at our first stop.   As we dipped into a massive banana boat topped with hot fudge, marshmallow, strawberry sauce, and butterscotch, we quickly discovered the problem with such an approach—it was difficult to taste any of the individual components of this concoction.  The vanilla and chocolate ice creams did not stand up as distinct in the mix, but the toppings were good.  The individual cup of house specialty Moose Tracks (vanilla with fudge and peanut butter cups) proved to be a better flavor alternative.

A pretty little place to grab ice cream and lots of picnic table to enjoy it at. They do sometimes have food trucks too, and today it was Cousins Main Lobster. I have never been here when there wasn’t a line, but it moved quickly. My one complaint is they don’t have a kiddie size. It’s all small or large or special sundaes. I like to have a tiny bit of ice cream every so often so I’d prefer a kiddie size, but that isn’t a huge deals, but my small with sprinkles was $7 which feels like a lot to me,

Good food for the price, great outdoor seating via picnic tables on the grass. Separate food and ice cream windows. Two port a potty stations. They are serving Richardson's Ice cream. They have hard (almost $5 for small) and soft ice cream available, banana splits (almost $11) and sundaes. Fried haddock $8.xx. to go packages include napkins, salt and pepper, ask for anything extra. Very thin piece of fish but fresh oil for the fry and okay sandwich. Add your own seasinings.

Bubbling Brook is a classic, small town ice cream bar in a beautiful area. I have been going to Bubbling Brook since I was a kid, and I have lots of good memories there. If you are a coach, this is a great place to bring your team after a big win (or loss) to polish off the night leaving everyone in good mood. The restaurant has excellent food, but the prices (to me) are very high, I do however recommend trying the restaurant at least once, so you can be your own judge because many people do feel that the food is worth the money. I personally prefer to eat elsewhere and come to Bubbling Brook after for an ice cream or frappe. I love to go with my girlfriend as we have done for many years and will continue to for many years to come. There is a beautiful, well-groomed lawn with plenty of picnic tables set up for your family to sit and enjoy their ice cream and still plenty of space for the kids to spend the last of their energy running around before going home! There is a certain air that you can't find anywhere else, the way they have the property set up is great! Many people come with family, friends, a date, and even co-workers, the environment can literally satisfy anyone in any situation, even if you come alone. Parking can sometimes be an issue on very busy nights, but most people just park on the street when the lot is full and there is no issue, you won't be far from the building even if you need to park on the street. A good tip, if the lot does turn out to be full, drop someone off to get in line while someone else parks the car. There is usually a line, but it tends to move along pretty good thanks to all the servers. Also helpful is the way the walk-up windows are set up; on the right, there are a couple of windows serving ONLY soft serve, and on the left, a couple windows for ONLY regular ice cream. (Don't get in the wrong line!) Ice cream is not served inside, so don't think you will beat the line by going in, they will NOT serve you ice cream inside! Waiting in line here is part of the Bubbling Brook experience, it gives you a chance to socialize or even just to scan the long list of flavors and decide what you want, it really isn't one of those annoying long lines that seems to not move, you won't be disappointed! I highly recommend Bubbling Brook to anyone, of any age, and for any occasion for an awesome selection of ice cream and a perfect atmosphere! One last tip, don't forget cash! They don't take any other method of...

They need to sell. Business has rapidly gone down hill since COVID. Closed dining room was understood during COVID. But that was looooong ago. Mistake was never attempting to reopen it. Reducing closing hours for ice cream, while the sun is still up, is ridiculous. Again, made sense during COVID, but certainly not now! Not everyone is, or was ever, a lunch at 12:00 and dinner at 5:00 crowd. In days gone by, crowds would be there at 10:00PM waiting for ice cream! They still would be if the owners knew how to manage. Not finding sufficient help is a lame excuse. With the high prices they've always charged, (and have only gotten higher), there's now reason to be able to pay accordingly to attract help. Clearly indicates greed (or mismanagement) or both.

Again, time to sell and allow someone with 'fresh' ideas and perspective to come there and "right that ship" and take advantage of what should be a very...

Horrible service by the manager of the restaurant. I thought that my experience was an isolated incident but after reading the reviews it sounds like she’s just rude and terrible to everyone. After ordering fried clam strips the waitress brought out whole belly clams which I wasn’t aware of. This is only the second time I’ve ever had clams before and I am not a seafood person so I didn’t know the difference until she brought us the ticket and it was about $10 more than expected. We were just going to pay it but when we decided to mention it to the waitress the manager soon came over and humiliated us by interrogating us like crooks and scolding us like children for an honest mistake. The price was changed, but it didn’t cushion the feeing of total embarrassment. Great way to spend a birthday. After hundreds of ice creams from here, we won’t be returning and we surely won’t be...
