The Farmhouse Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Weyerhaeuser

We went with a group of friends for a Friday fish fry. It's not a fancy place. It was the Whistlestop Cafe before this, and they have not remodeled. Everyone we know who has gone here talks about how good the food is, so we tried it again. The seafood platter was good. Two piece chips with two broiled shrimp and some bay scallops (which are naturally small). We were convinced to get the salad bar instead of the side salad as it's only a few dollars more, but then you get fries, which you may not want, and you still pay full price for your meal and skip that salad. That was fine for us, but there were some in our group that weren't thrilled how that cost more and have them for they didn't want. Most of the food was, indeed, very good, but be warned, if you order the scallop platter, you will get 7 tiny little bay scallops that will stand a chance of being overcooked. The Farmhouse is a fantastic hidden gem! My wife and I went for dinner last night and had a wonderful experience.

The food was delicious. We shared a plate of cheese curds to start, and they were perfectly golden. My wife loved her cheeseburger, and my "ranch hand" wrap with the homemade ranch sauce was incredible. The flavors were fresh, and you could tell everything was made with care.

The service was top-notch. Our server was friendly and attentive, making sure our drinks were refilled and checking in on us without being intrusive.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The owners even came by to chat for a bit. They were friendly and down-to-earth, and we enjoyed getting to know them. They struck the perfect balance of being friendly and letting us enjoy our meal.

I want to preface this by saying I hate leaving a bad review, however, we just left because this was probably the worst experience ever. We showed up about 5. ordered by 5:15ish. we order a 3 peice fish, seafood platter, kids chicken tender. and an appetizer. at 6:05 we had not received even the app.

This is the part that sucks.

I asked one of the waitresses (sweet girl, she was great) if she could check how long it was gunna be. I was standing in front of the kitchen door when the guy back there states ,"she can go sit and B** if she wants". He looked dead at me. waitress said another 10 to 15 minutes. I paid for our soda and left.
