Railroad Deli — Restaurant in Weymouth Township

I used to live around the corner as a kid and ride my bike here for ice cream back in the day. So, even though there were questionable reviews, we decided to stop in anyway. I ordered a cheesesteak wrap, my husband got a chicken blt wrap. My son already ate with his dad and wasn't hungry, so just wanted chips, mini-melts, and a drink. I'm always really worried about ordering cheesesteaks as a wrap, because half the time they're extremely greasy, and fall apart. I was actually surprised this one was perfect. I was scared to put mayo and ketchup, but decided to just go for it. Man. I mean I do have a favorite cheesesteak place already, but it was actually pretty up there, great! Like maybe a good 8 out of 10 I guess. The chicken blt... I was impressed that not only were they really big chunks of chicken, they weren't dry AT ALL, tasted amazing. The only thing that threw me off a bit, was the bacon was chopped so small, I almost question if they were bacon bits, that was a little disappointing honestly. I mean it didn't taste bad at all, I personally just would've liked/expected actual pieces like on blts and burgers and such. My husband and I both liked each other's so much, we switched halves LOL. I was also surprised of their chips they serve with them, are they homemade? Nice and warm, thick cut, barely any salt, but I actually really liked them that way and didn't even realize I was going to get them. The lady that took my order was super nice; the lady that made the food was nice; and then we went to grab drinks after ordering, came back, the owner was there, he checked us out, and was nice as well. Ordered Mother’s Day for dinner. 3 chicken sandwiches and a BLT. Went to pick up and when I got there the older guy (who looked like he was high) was basically laughing at me and told me they didn’t have chicken for the sandwiches — which would have been completely fine if they would’ve just called me so I could choose something else before I waited 30 minutes and arrived to pick them up! I then ask for a refund and he tells me he can’t give me one as he doesn’t know how to but if I come back tomorrow morning I can “hopefully” see the owner all while he is still smirking throughout the entire interaction. Are you kidding me? I then had to order subs as I couldn’t get a refund. The next guy who walked in happened to be a relative and said that the employees were talking/complaining about us as well as another customer. I am changing my review based on the changes of mask mandates in New Jersey to reflect my current feelings on the establishment. I would also like to make an apology to the owners about my comments before, they came from a place of personal strife in my life and was unfair to them and their workers.

That said, the food is okay, and better than okay most of the time, depending on what you order. Their burgers are great though, what I order most, nice and big and thick, but I've been very disappointed by their pizza before, as there have been times where there have been large pools of grease in the center.
