I tried them once when they first opened and was not impressed. They have improved soooo much over the years. The rice is superb, and I mean superb. It was so good I ate what was served on my plate and ordered a serving to go. I ordered the LA Bonita, the same dished served at at other local Mexican restaurant Los Cucos. I must say, LA Casona gave them a run for their money. It was good. Better even. I will be going back. As usual the drinks were strong...and good!! The service could have been better. Had to remind the server a couple of times for our drinks and some tortillas were left out of one of our plates but it was okay.

A little tiny bit light on the steak for the jalapeño steak fajitas priced at $22 Literally off by 10 percent, could even have just been this one time Not enough to make me not want to come back, but enough to make me think twice about it Drinks solid Free chips are of higher quality than most Salsa solid Bartender possessed 0 personality but heck I have Facebook for friends Overall excellent experience I would be interested in coming back for sure Update: This is awkward I just got the bill and it was 20.25 for the fajitas Could’ve sworn it was 22$ in the menu I’ll say for $20 they nailed it Thank you 🤗

You people are crazy! We were passing through and saw the reviews. The food was awful. The tea was soured. The margaritas were made with a bad premixed base (thinking the Hornitos brand margarita mix). We ordered a mixed grill where the meat looked like it was boiled and not grilled. Flour tortillas looked like the kind you purchase at the store and warm up, definitely not hand made. And it was not reasonably priced.

Let’s get into it, this tex-mex restaurant was great for years since the one in rosenberg/moved to off the highway by boot barn. And this is their second location here in wharton. Well the taste is just not there any longer, the tortillas are rubbery, the beef fajitas taste spoiled. The chips are store bought (they use to be good) the salsa is different also it is only tomato blended. The queso is not creamy, the melted cheese with chorizo app is so so greasy. It’s all bad. Hope they make some improvements for the sake of the dollar of future customers..that was their last chance for me and I had not been there in years at either location since I found Lopez in Stafford. I was just passing through, and the waiter had so much perfume on or some sort of spray so overpowering and unpleasant and she was rude, maybe didn’t want to be at work so the one sweeping helped us more. review is edited for any confusion as to what location by the response.. There are two locations as I stated.. this one is for Wharton,Texas in front of Wal-Mart. These two locations are connected last time the front worker said so. She worked the front at both locations. If they are now separated is not my concern what is my concern is the food and service. last but not least the waiter needs to voice the plate is very hot, setting it in front of a 6 year old without declaring “very hot plate” is negligence again because she didn’t feel...

Services are ok I prefer home cooked meals at home, but their food is ok not the best either just didn't like their rice much something was missing did not have a good flavor to it and enjoyed their margaritas! Last time they had open positions and I applied here and no manager replied back. If you are hiring then be professional and respond to people who want to work if not take your ad off the internet!! You ladies who like to stand with their cell phones and text while on the job and trying to look pretty all day don't expect a tip at all who knows me and my bf could be wanting more tea or water if our glasses are empty but yet you ladies are on yalls phones!! If i was manager l would say sorry you no longer work here!! What manager lets an employee or employees text on their phone while working? Like really? Guys are much faster than the ladies as for good services!! Gallitos restraunt and Dennys and the Restraunt across from the tire place in Wharton are the coolest food in my book, also I tipped this girl $20 at Dennys because she came to our table several times she walked out happy when she...

We went to this place during the dinner hour, me and my husband ordered drinks, 2 different drinks both are not made with whiskey from what I know and shouldn't have been in the drinks and both tasted just like whiskey and very very strong! We told the waiterss and she looked st us crazy remade my husband's drink and it was the same, she said they go buy a specific measguide and they come out rhe same every time lol, ok! Then you can keep the drinks and we were still charged for them. I ended up getting a sweet tea, and shared with my husband, and dinner was very bland and not worth our time we waisted our money here. I will not ever go back here even if someone gave us a gift card or paid for dinner!!! AND they serve Hot salsa, not spicy but cooked ... who does that?...
