Went there for Mothers Day 5/9/2021 arrived around 4:03pm there was a line outside the door. We got in line n as we was able to get into the building the line started to take forever. The manager never once told the customers on what was going on here the credit card machine went down # of times n she never once said anything to the customers to let them know. I had a two year old with me holding her the whole time cause it was like we was in a can of sardines people shoulder to shoulder. There was other people with kids there as well and Am sure they was feeling the same way I was. It took forever to get through the line was like 1 hr 45 mins or better without the manager telling us what was going on and not telling us that the credit card machine was down. Never once apologized for the wait or the issues that seem to be taken place. Then for them to up their prices on Mothers Day like really?? WHY?? Then to only be able to order from a list of items that they are cooking. I got the steak shrimp baked potato with butter and extra butter. Steak was well done like I asked but was dry tasteless like there was no seasonings at all on my steak. My husband got a steak n chicken with baked potato sour cream n butter. He was not happy at all with the serves or the food. Mostly it being mothers day n my steak being the way that it was n they forgot the butter for his potato n we both got the salad bar. Spend over $50 to be in line that long for a manager who didnt seem to care or what to communicate with her customers. I dont like to complain but I have to say we was very unhappy with everything that took place. I believe the manager should have spoken up to let customers know what was going on....
Read moreBonanza steak house The salad bar: had many great selections!!! Everything looked fresh and tasted fresh! The soup: was amazing too and was on point!! The steam table: only items I felt was good was: Glazed meatloaf The chicken fingers Orange chicken Buttered cabbage Everything else was not fully cooked. The fried chicken was raw in the center and smelled bad like it's been under someone's armpit!.. The mashed potatoes and stuffing was so dry ..no hope in its flavor it was dry and nasty.. the gravy was coagulated. The corn was bland, the string beans casserole was mushy and just awful.. the sweet potato were burned. Everything looked just awful..presentation!! The desert bar.. what a mess!! The ice cream bar ..what the Hell!! There are so many slobes that come to a restaurant and make a big mess.. it's a shame you have to walk into sprinkles and some people have no control over thier kids! They allow them to act like brats out of a friggin barn.. I felt I was dinning with barn animals.. in fact I believe barn animals would have better manners then some of these pigs. I really feel bad for the staff.. I know they don't get paid enough to put up with feeding time at the ZOO in New Columbia! But to say this I know Bonanza is short handed..they do need help. The cakes looked very good btw.. I would of gotten a piece. But people made my stomach turn.. I just cannot believe people act the way they do.. no...
Read moreServed romaine lettuce in salad during the e-coli outbreak and voluntary recall of romaine (server did replace salad with one without the romaine when informed).
Food was ok, simple basic but not excellent. Serving staff excellent - kind to customers, pleasant demeaner.
There was some confusion between staff and management over policies for additional items and discounts not listed on the menu. As this was our first time at this restaurant, this made it harder to select a combination of food for our group.
After we worked out an order with the staff, the general manager came over and provided a very strict interpretation of the policies with a goal of charging us an extra five dollars on 35 dollars of food. We ended up purchasing less food as a result.
Her demeaneer and managing style was confrontational and inflexible. She was very present and active in the restaurant. Her oversight made eating there unpleasant. She angrily confronted us implying theft and charged us an exra dollar for a tiny brownie that a staff member said we could take for my son (after the salad fiasco) (we paid the dollar).
What's frustrating is that all this could have been avoided at the start and end if she had talked to the staff before confronting us and offered solutions instead of...
