Filling Station — Restaurant in White Lake Charter Township

One word would be EPIC. This was our first visit, and we placed a to go order. I had read a couple of reviews, knowing it would take around 30 minutes to be ready, and ordered accordingly. I arrived a little early and sat at the counter to wait. After having a couple of small conversations and watching the process in the kitchen, I not only understood the time involved in the process, but appreciated it. My family and I all have food allergies and usually have to forgo certain food items due to the unavailability of safe alternatives. Not only do they offer a GF bun that has a solid consistency allowing it not to crumble, while being flavorful, but they have an option to have fries cooked with tallow instead of seed oils and in a dedicated fryer! So to recap, 1/2 lb blended short rib and brisket patty, tons of additional toppings, real cheese, GF bun option, tallow fries and more. High quality antibiotic and hormone free proteins, food allergy consideration for gluten, dairy, shellfish, and nut, and a healthy seed oil free option. This small restaurant has the market cornered by providing top notch healthy food with a plethora of options to meet almost anyone’s requirements, while being very conscientious of todays food allergies and cross contamination, combined with great portions at a very reasonable price. My wife and I were extremely pleased with the experience and will definitely be a frequent guest both in restaurant and carry out. The food was really good. I think the prices are fair and the portions were good.

My issue is that we waited 90 minutes for food. There were maybe 4 other tables occupied, and we waited and waited. The server was very nice and apologetic, but that didn't help with the extreme delay. Other tables had kids and they were frustrated too.

The server said that the owners usually help when it gets busy (it didn't seem busy), but they were out of town.

I get that this is a small restaurant, and I'm always happy to spend money at local places but 90 minutes for a burger (and they messed up one order which delayed it another 15 minutes).

It seems that the cook was completely overwhelmed. Three things would have made this disaster better: hire more staff, close when the owners are gone, or tell customers about the extremely long wait before they get seated.

We felt disrespected (again, the server was very nice) because we weren't warned about the problem. We didn't ask for a discount on the bill because we just wanted to leave, but none was offered.

While the food was good, our treatment was not. If you decide to eat here, call first to see if they have adequate help and then be prepared to wait and wait and...

I'm pretty close by, and love coming here!! I'm happy they opened so close, too. Right away, I'd like to say that this place probably has the best burgers I've ever eaten.

I try to come every week or so. As a result, I've tried most of their food, and can confidently confirm that you'll be pleased by your selection(s). Every burger I've had has been crafted well, tastes delightfully clean, and each has been unique - this is to say that no burger tastes the same, and each have their own values and flavors, the sides included. My own personal favorite being the lamb burger, being very rich and flavorful, but retaining a clean taste, and not overdoing it! I can't forget the garlic aioli sauce either - this stuff with the fries is glorious to me and I always get some extra.

The folks behind the filling station are super chill and accommodating. It feels like a real place with real interactions, and feels natural. Overall, the experience is chill, relaxing, and leaves my body feeling better, and not like I just ate a ton of grease. AWESOME!
